Job Summary
The PE Teacher will help students stay active and healthy. The role includes planning and teaching PE lessons, organizing sports activities, ensuring student safety, and promoting teamwork. Candidates should have teaching or coaching experience, good classroom management skills, and a passion for healthy lifestyle. A degree in PE or a related field is preferred.
- Lesson Planning & Teaching
- Develop and implement structured PE lesson plans that align with the school’s academic goals.
- Adapt lesson plans to meet the needs of students with varying physical abilities.
- Teach a variety of physical activities, including sports, fitness training, and movement exercises.
- Promote sportsmanship among students.
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and provide feedback.
- Student Engagement & Classroom Management
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Supervise students during activities, ensuring safety and discipline.
- Encourage student participation and engagement in physical activities.
- Sports & Extracurricular Activities
- Organize school sports events and inter-school tournaments.
- Lead after-school sports programs or team coaching.
- Maintain and oversee the use of sports equipment and facilities.
- Health & Safety Compliance
- Ensure students follow safety protocols during physical activities.
- Provide first aid when necessary and report injuries following school policies.
- Maintain sports equipment and ensure proper usage.
- Collaboration & School Responsibilities
- Work closely with other teachers, staff, and school leadership.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school activities.
- Carry out any additional duties assigned by the Principal.
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field (preferred).
- Teaching certification or relevant coaching qualifications (preferred).
- Experience in teaching or coaching, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to adapt lessons to students of different skill levels.
- Passionate about promoting physical fitness and student well-being.
- First-Aid certification
