Position Summary

Context:

Under the overall supervision of Chief of Mission, The Consultant will work closely with the National Project Officer and Senior Project Assistant under the direct supervision of Chief of Mission to achieve the objective of this consultancy by delivering the following tasks:

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Develop a training curriculum in both languages: English and Khmer on Investigative Interviewing tools for frontline officials to align with the relevant legislations and operation procedures of migration management at Point of Entry of Cambodia
  • Conduct training course for National Master Trainers of GDIs on Investigative Interviewing tools for frontlines officials that would assist the GDI trainers to cascade the trainings to immigration and concerned border agencies at checkpoints.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Education
  • A bachelor’s degree in education, Law, Human Rights, or public policy is required. A Postgraduate degree relevant field is considered an asset.
  • At least 5 years of working experience in the field of migration, particularly, in immigration and border management with focuses on capacity Building Program.
  • Extensive experience in designing, developing and evaluating training programs and materials.
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholder including UN, INGOs, CSOs and Government agencies, particularly with General Department of Immigration.
  • Ability to deliver training to the government counterparts.
  • Prior experience with IOM or a relevant UN agency will be considered an advantage
  • Languages: Fluency in English is required and Khmer is advantaged.
  • Capacity to work independently and with minimal supervision.
