Employer Description

The Lower Mekong Basin Wetland Management and conservation Project (LMWMCP) is a 5-year project, known as the “Wetlands Project”, funded by KfW. The Wetlands Project aims to put in place infrastructure and legislature that facilitate protection of natural resources in Prek Toal Ramsar Site, the surrounding Fish Sanctuary, and other important locations around the Tonle Sap Lake, and develop ecotourism that can ultimately contribute to sustainable financing of Prek Toal Ramsar Site. The Wetlands Project is implemented by the Department of Freshwater Wetlands Conservation of the Ministry of Environment, and the Fisheries Administration of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. Technical support is provided by WCS and GITEC.
