The Royal Government of Cambodia has committed to a total investment of US$150 million for the Cambodia Water Security Improvement Project (CaWSIP), comprising a US$145 million credit from the International Development Association (IDA) and US$5 million in counterpart financing from the Government. The project aims to (1) build the foundation for improved water security in Cambodia and increase agricultural productivity in selected river basins, and (2) provide an immediate and effective response in the event of an eligible crisis or emergency. The project will be implemented over a six-year period.
