Forests and Livelihood Organization (FLO) is a non-profit registered local organization, established by a team of local people in Kratie Province, northeastern Cambodia. The organization was officially registered on December 8th, 2010 at the Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Cambodia. FLO commits to alleviate poverty through conservation of natural resources, provision of alternative livelihood development, women empowerment and grass-root advocacy. FLO is dedicated to support by empowering local communities including ethnic minorities in its target areas to asserting their rights to sustainably managing natural resources, on which their livelihood depends on, and respectful to the existing laws. FLO has been implementing its mission under the financial assistance from ForumSyd, Southeast Asia Development (SADP) and Directorate-General Development Cooperation of Belgian Government to support indigenous and non-indigenous communities to assess land tenures and rights for natural resource management and livelihood development.
