Worker's Information Center

The Workers’ Information Center (WIC) is a women garment workers-based association, registered with the Ministry of Interior (MOI) since 2009. WIC aims to empower women workers to claim their rights and to improve the status of women in society. WIC participates an alliance called United Sisterhood Alliance (Us) with other sister organisations: The Messenger Band (MB), Women’s Network for Unity (WNU), Social Action for Community and Development Organisation (SACD).

A key strategy of WIC is to operate Drop-in-centers, safe spaces where workers share their experiences and access information about their legal rights, the economics of the garment industry, gender, women’s health and broader social and political issues.
