Raoul Wallenberg Institute

The Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (RWI) is an independent academic institution affiliated to Lund University contributing to a wider understanding of, and respect for, human rights and international humanitarian law. We combine research, education and direct engagement with presences in Phnom Penh, Amman, Harare, Istanbul, Jakarta, Lund, Nairobi, and Stockholm.

Since 2013 and with financial support from Embassy of Sweden Section Office in Phnom Penh, RWI established an office in Cambodia to implement Human Rights Education and Research Capacity Development programme with the aim to strengthen academic institutions in Cambodia to progressively contribute to the promotion of human rights and gender equality.
