Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK) is a Government owned bank which was established in 1961 with the purpose of supporting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Being the number 1 player in Korean SME financing market with more than USD178 billion of SME loan in its loan book with a market share of 22.6% as of December 2019, the Bank plans to not only maintain, but also to strengthen its leadership in the segment.

Currently, we employ more than 42,071 staff and operates 57 overseas networks in 12 countries, including 2 local subsidiaries (16 branches in China / 30 branches in Indonesia), 9 branches, and 2 representative offices in Yangon, Myanmar and Vladivostok, Russia.

As part of the Bank’s plan to utilize its SME financing know-how and unique financial services to expand the oversea network and build the foundations for an exciting new future, the Bank had on 11 December 2018 opened its first branch in Phnom Penh (the Branch of Industrial Bank of Korea “Phnom Penh”) after obtaining the official banking license from the National Bank of Cambodia on 22 October 2018 and plans to expand its branch network in the Kingdom in the coming year.

With the entry into the Cambodian market, IBK will provide the local companies with the bank’s five decades worth of SME financing know-hows and diversified financial product portfolios that would help them attain their business goals.
