Position Summary

Reports to : Project Manager

Duty Location : SOS Kratie

Department : Program Project

Youth leader is a member of a project team. The overall responsibility of youth development leader is familiar with knowledgeable of activities of youth, planning, mentoring and conducting of assigned project activities, and supervision on youth development.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Work directly with youth group of school-age, to provide a safe, responsible, well-supervised program while acting as a positive adult role model and mentor;
  • Ensure arrangement of youth house are functioning, cleanliness, education, social activities, security and orders;
  • Train youth in a variety of skills and techniques including behaviour management techniques, program development, provide direction and delivery, child development and group management.
  • Implement and participate with youth group including homework and tutoring assistance, daily living activities, social engagement, and recreation activities.
  • Ensure up to date of youth development plan to PDB2 system.
  • Actively participate in staff development workshops and other staff meetings that are designed to contribute to personal and professional growth and program success.
  • Help provide an atmosphere for developing good morale and well-being among the youth group;
  • Provide discipline, supervise and monitoring youth group in all aspects of the project, provide direction and feedback to youth in a constructive manner;
  • Well document interaction and behaviours of youth through loggings, and incident reports, provide appropriate supervision of youth during all activities, monitor on routine housekeeping as need on shift, assist in management of cost effective of the project;
  • Other task as required by supervisor and line manager.
Expected Profile of Candidates
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in social development or other related field
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Ability to manage group of children (6-8 of youth) ages 14-20 years-old;
  • Desire and ability to work with youth in both indoor and outdoor settings;
  • Knowledge of computer literacy Ms. Office and using internet & email;
  • Ability to plan in writing and implement quality program for youth;
  • Able to stay in youth house;

Case Management Officer

Position Summary

Reports to : Project Manager

The Case Management Officer is responsible for managing assigned child and family cases through a structured case management process, ensuring timely assessment, planning, referral, follow-up, and documentation. The role focuses on supporting vulnerable children and families to reduce risks, strengthen caregiving capacity, and improve child wellbeing in line with SOS Cambodia policies and safeguarding standards. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Case Management Officer works closely with families, community structures, and service providers to implement approved case plans, monitor progress, and ensure that all interventions are child-centered, ethical, and adequately documented. The position requires regular field engagement, strong coordination skills, and strict adherence to confidentiality and safeguarding requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Case identification and assessment
  • Identify children and families in need through referrals, outreach, and coordination with community structures.
  • Conduct household visits and child-centered assessments using approved SOS Cambodia case management tools.
  • Assess risks related to child protection, family capacity, education, health, and livelihoods.
  • Ensure informed consent and child participation in all assessments.
  • Case planning and implementation
  • Develop individual case plans with clear objectives, actions, timelines, and responsible parties.
  • Coordinate delivery of services such as education support, health referrals, psychosocial support, and livelihood assistance.
  • Ensure plans are realistic, prioritized, and reviewed regularly.
  • Support families to strengthen caregiving capacity and reduce risks.
  • Referral and coordination
  • Facilitate referrals to government services, NGOs, health facilities, schools, and legal services when needed.
  • Maintain active coordination with Commune Councils, social workers, schools, and health staff.
  • Follow up on referral outcomes and ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in case conferences when required.
  • Monitoring, review, and case closure
  • Conduct regular follow-up visits to monitor progress against case plans.
  • Update case records accurately and on time.
  • Review cases periodically and adjust plans based on changing needs.
  • Prepare and document case closure decisions, ensuring sustainability and reduced risk.
  • Safeguarding and Child Protection
  • Apply SOS Cambodia Child and Youth Safeguarding Policy at all times.
  • Identify and report safeguarding concerns immediately through established reporting pathways.
  • Ensure safe, respectful, and ethical engagement with children and families.
  • Support awareness-raising with families on child rights and protection.
  • Documentation and reporting
  • Maintain complete, confidential, and well-organized case files (hard copy and/or digital).
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly case management reports.
  • Contribute case data for MEAL, audits, and donor reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality requirements.
  • To be assigned as project cashier
  • Capacity building and community engagement
  • Support parents and caregivers with basic parenting, child wellbeing, and protection guidance.
  • Participate in community awareness activities related to child protection and family strengthening.
  • Coordinate with community-based structures supporting vulnerable children.
  • Internal Coordination and Compliance
  • Work closely with Program, Safeguarding, Finance, and MEAL teams.
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision sessions, and trainings.
  • Comply with SOS Cambodia policies, procedures, and code of conduct.
Expected Profile of Candidates
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social work, Psychology, Sociology, Development Studies, or related field.
Work History:
  • Case management, child protection, or family strengthening programs for 2 to 3 years
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Experience working with vulnerable children and families in community settings.
  • Familiarity with Cambodia’s child protection system is an asset.
  • Computer skills (Word, Excel, basic databases)
Soft Skills
  • Strong case assessment and analytical skills
  • Good communication and counseling skills
