We are seeking two qualified candidates to fill the position of WE Can Read & Write (WCRW) Field Officer based in Pailin as following:

Position Summary

Report to: WE Can Read & Write Coordinator

Contract type: Fixed Specified Duration

Duration: 1 year (Renewable, subject to funding availability)

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Projects Objectives, Planning & Implementation
  • Assist the project coordinator in the implementation of the objectives of the Education Program in accordance with the duly approved plan.
  • Assist the project coordinator in organizing training for principals, teachers, literacy coaches, SSC members and other trainings related to Education Program.
  • Assist the project coordinator to build teacher’s capacity on literacy and introduce active practical elements to lessons through use of the Reading Toolkit and tablet-based apps.
  • Assist the project coordinator to organize exposure learning trips for teachers, students and other stakeholders for the improvement and development of the target schools.
  • Provide Safe Migration and Trafficking Awareness training to SSC members and teachers for disseminating to students.
  • Takes charge in monitoring, mentoring and following up the development of the capacity of the SSC’s, teachers and literacy coaches.
  • Ensure a good communication line with groups, village leaders, and school principals in order to build and establish good relationship.
  • Support the literacy coach in implementing the action plan.
  • Take a lead in the conduct of school enrollment and reading campaigns.
  • Conduct field visits regularly.
  • Budget Management
  • Monitoring and Evaluation
  • Assist M&E team in conducting surveys, monitoring and evaluation 
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, semi/annual stories and reports
  • Communication and networking
  • Work closely with District Office of Education and other NGOs
  • Maintain good team communication and relationship
  • Assist the Program Coordinator to lead donor trip visits
  • Active participant in training workshops as assigned
  • Attend monthly meeting with the target schools.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Commitment to Samaritan’s Purse mission, value and policies
  • Bachelor Degree in Education, social science or relevant degree. 
  • Minimum two years’ experience in Education field or community work and in literacy related technical fields is preferred.
  • Literacy in MS Office, English language proficiency, experience in doing monitoring and evaluation
  • Creative and flexible person who can work well under pressure
  • Good in teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to drive motorcycle(preferred).
