Volunteer Youth Ambassadors Program for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
The Volunteer Youth Ambassadors Program for Sustainable Development Goals
The Volunteer Youth Ambassadors Program for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) (hereinafter the "Program") is a joint initiative between Cooperation Committee for Cambodia (CCC) and the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) in 2019. The Program is a platform of a dynamic team of volunteer ambassadors working together within the mandate of a one-year term to enhance youth voice and solidarity through volunteerism contributing to achieving the SDGs. The Ambassadors were offered opportunities through volunteerism to engage directly as well as indirectly for peace, sustainable development, and democracy.
The primary objective of the Volunteer Youth Ambassador Program for SDGs is to contribute to the empowerment of Cambodian youth by enabling them to use their potential to participate in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in Cambodia. Young people will have the opportunity to participate in policy dialogue, participate in decision-making processes, and support the monitoring of progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals in Cambodia.
