Mith Samlanh started our work 28 years ago as one of the first registered Cambodian non-government organizations, and now we count 250 staff working in different zones in the Phnom Penh area. Every year, we provide various outreach programs, vocational training, education, counseling, food, shelter, medical services and income generation programs to 15,000 marginalized children, youth and families in Phnom Penh.

Vocational Training Manager

Position Summary

What will you do?

As a Vocational Training Manager, your roles will be to develop the best practice model on skills’ training that leads to employment for marginalized youths and caretakers.

This includes day to day management of our skills training activities for youth and caretakers, building the capacity of teachers and trainers and improving the quality of training.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of trainers and teachers in implementing highest standards for skills training to support youths and caretakers in finding jobs and starting business
  • Ensure the training quality delivery through implementing and regularly updating skills competency checklists, curriculums, and lessons plans, training observations, training schedules, Standard of Practice
  • Team is collecting quality data and that all reporting systems are on time for program report.
  • Liaise with partners to share the best practice model on training youth and caretakers for employment
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Relevant university degree or VT school background; NGO environment and child protection policies
  • At least 4 years of experience in managing/coordinating educational, Employment projects and staff
  • Passion for working with marginalized communities and supporting youth employment
  • Dynamic team leader qualities and you enjoy building the capacity of your team
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and external partners
  • Excellent skills in Khmer and English
  • Knowledge of the Office package and Social Media
