Person Description:
The ideal candidate will have experience in tourism, hospitality, or customer service, with a genuine passion for community work and wildlife conservation. They should be confident working both independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and organisational skills. The successful candidate will be friendly, enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to making a positive experience for all visitors to the centre.
- Welcome guests and provide information on Kampot Dolphin Ecotours
- Organising online and in-person ecotour bookings
- Advertising and promoting Kampot Dolphin Ecotours
- Contributing content for the website, external communications and social media
- Assist in the organisation of events at the visitor centre
- Sale of local products and merchandise
- Conduct shop inventories and track sales
- Uphold organisation values
- Other responsibilities as identified
- Khmer - Fluent

- Previous experience in tourism, hospitality, or customer service
- Computer literacy
- Knowledge of marine science and conservation
- Experience with event planning or community engagement
- Familiarity with social media or marketing tools
- Fluency in both English and Khmer (spoken and written)

- Plan and deliver practical, beginner-level English lessons tailored to the needs of fishing community members.
- Create simple, culturally relevant teaching materials and activities.
- Adapt teaching methods for learners with varying levels and learning styles.
- Support learners in developing useful vocabulary for daily life, tourism interactions, and safety communication.
- Monitor learner progress and provide feedback and encouragement.
- Maintain basic attendance and learning records.
- Coordinate with community leaders or partners to schedule classes and ensure accessibility for learners.
- Support a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
- Adjust lesson plans based on learner feedback and community needs.
- Carry out additional teaching-related tasks as appropriate.
