Position Summary:
The Policy & Market Research Officer supports the Cambodia Tourism Board in strengthening tourism and tourism-related policy coherence and driving strategic innovation. The role focuses on tourism policy & tourism promotion strategy research, development of innovative initiatives, and cross-departmental coordination to ensure CTB’s strategies remain evidence-based, future-ready, and aligned with national tourism priorities.
While the staff is expected to carry out most responsibilities independently, training and guidance will be provided where needed.
- Conduct research, benchmarking, and analysis on tourism/aviation policies, global best practices, and emerging trends relevant to Cambodia.
- Support the development, review, and refinement of tourism-related policies, frameworks, guidelines, and strategic initiatives.
- Assist in developing Quarterly & Annual Tourism Market Industry Outlook.

Position Summary:
The Tourism Digital Distribution Officer is responsible for strengthening the digital presence and online bookability of Cambodia’s tourism suppliers. The role focuses on enabling tour operators, attractions, experience providers, and local businesses to effectively list, manage, and optimize their products across major Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) and global travel platforms such as Link, Expedia, Agoda, Link, Airbnb, and other relevant digital marketplaces.
The officer will work closely with tourism suppliers to improve product quality, digital readiness, pricing competitiveness, content standards, and booking performance in order to increase Cambodia’s online visibility and sales.

- Product Listing Optimization: Proactively audit and improve existing local partner listings on international OTAs and travel websites to ensure high-quality visual content, accurate descriptions, and optimized naming conventions.
- Supply-Side Growth: Identify high-potential local tourism services and facilitate their professional onboarding onto global distribution platforms and regional OTAs.
- Requirement Guidance: Assist local operators in understanding and meeting the technical and commercial requirements of various digital "extranets" and booking engines.
- Content Excellence: Support partners in refining their pricing structures and product details to improve conversion rates and visibility in global search results.
- Platform Partnership: Maintain professional relationships with account managers at major travel platforms to secure better placement and "destination spotlight" opportunities for Cambodian listings.
- Digital Distribution Strategy: Explore and implement opportunities to list niche Cambodian experiences on specialized international travel and lifestyle apps.
- Performance Monitoring: Track the "bookability" of Cambodian products across different platforms and prepare reports on inventory growth and booking trends.
- Training Ability: Proficient in facilitating workshops and providing guidance to local partners on digital listing best practices and platform requirements.

- Expertise: Deep understanding of travel website algorithms and how to optimize listings for maximum visibility and conversion.
- Presentation: Proficient in conducting workshops or training for local operators on digital best practices.
