World Education, a division of JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. JSI/WE, is looking for an Instructional Designer for an anticipated National Immunization Program (NIP) which is one of five programs under the National Maternal and Child Health Center (NMCHC). A program that seeks to develop e-learning courses on immunization in practice and updating of a web-based training record database or the National Immunization Program (NIP) of the Ministry of Health (MOH) of Cambodia.

This position will be an 8 month engagement as a consultant, on a part time basis at approximately a total of between 60-70 days of work. Recruitment is contingent upon the successful award of the project.

Position Summary

The Instructional Designer leads the development of 10 e-learning courses and support their integration into a Moodle based LMS platform. Essential qualifications and experience are as follows (and persons without these will not be considered).

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Development of courses in coordination with NIP, UNICEF, and partners.
  • Support integration of e-learning course in NCMCH’s LMS platform.
Requirements:
  • Education: University qualification in instructional design, media design, digital learning, or related field.
  • Language: Very good language skills in English with Khmer language proficiency is an asset.
  • General professional experience: 5 years of experience in the field of digital learning and training.
  • Specific professional experience: 5 years of experience in instructional design for e-learning (development of storyboards and content for e-learning or online courses, working with subject matter experts).
  • Working experience with international organizations: 3 years’ experience in working in the field of international development cooperation including bilateral cooperation agency, UN or international organization.
  • Other: 3 years’ experience in the health contents is an asset.
