Provincial Coordinator

The position of Provincial Coordinator based in Prey Veng province from September 2024 – September 2025.
- Manage and lead all provincial implementation teams - including setting up office systems; supervising technical and support staff and human resources systems and procedures; and, managing financial and accounting systems.
- Oversee implementation of project activities in assigned province including:
- Liaising with education leaders, school communities, and other local functionaries;
- Organizing training and development workshops;
- Establishing and engaging multi-stakeholder counterpart teams at Provincial and local levels;
- Organizing and implementing community and school level activities;
- Identifying and assessing the capabilities of provincial NGOs, CBOs, and other potential partners;
- Disbursing per diems and ensuring payment tracking;
- Overseeing Implementing Partners (IPs) and grantees.
- Coordinate with Head office (Phnom Penh) technical staff to ensure technical assistance needs are addressed.
- Oversee the engagement, training and support of province-based staff.
- Contribute to Project Annual Work Planning, quarterly reporting, monitoring and evaluation and other reporting needs as requested.
- Participate in periodic project planning meetings, often held outside of the province of assignment.
- Coordinate with Provincial staff of government, other education organizations and other donor projects.
- Abide by all environmental, safety, and health guidelines.
- Master’s Degree/equivalent in Education, Management, or related field.
- At least 9 years of working experience in the field of Basic Education, familiarity with interventions to improve early grade reading, and experience implementing the new MoEYS Komar Rien Komar Cheh early grade learning package strongly preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the planning, management and coordination of education projects, including human resource and financial oversight, with experience managing international donor projects preferred.
- Experience in the field of teacher training and teacher continuous professional development.
- Proven ability to work successfully alongside provincial and district government staff, communities and local partners.
- Knowledge of educational challenges at provincial, district, and local levels
- Superior integrity, work habits, organizational and interpersonal skills, and ability to meet deadlines, take initiative, and work successfully as part of a team, while maintaining the ability to work independently.
- Strong oral and written communications skills in both Khmer and English.
- Strong computer skills (Email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to travel to schools within the province on a regular basis.
