Senior Finance Officer
World Renew, an agency of the Christian Reformed Church in North America, is supporting integrated community development in rural communities. Currently, we are working with two local partners, one in Kampot and another one in Svay Rieng province. We are looking for a trustworthy and high self-esteemed person to fulfill a Senior Finance Officer position who will oversight the finance work for our small team in Cambodia. This position will be based in Phnom Penh with some traveling to some provinces for financial capacity review.
Job summary : The SFO will work closely with other managers and report to the Country Consultant in all aspects of the finance sector of World Renew on a regular basis and in a timely manner. The SFO will recruit and supervise finance interns, and work closely with local partners to monitor and improve their capacities in financial management, accounting practices such as QuickBooks, and other relevant topics.
- Responsible for the financial administration of World Renew - Cambodia funding and expenditures
- Prepare/Review financial reports as required by World Renew, funding partners and the internal Management Team
- Work closely with partners and other managers to plan, forecast and monitor financial budgets
- Process all staff and partner vouchers before approved by authorized persons
- Ensure financial activities are in compliance with the local office and World Renew policies and procedures
- Work closely with donors to ensure that financial procedures meet required systems and guidelines
- Manage all World Renew bank accounts
- Coordinate and liaise with the external auditor during the annual audit
- Represent World Renew at government or NGO venues as requested by Country Consultant
- Work with Communication Manager to manage major purchases and office procedures according to World Renew policies
- Work closely with Communication Manager to manage the government agreements, Visa renewals and licenses on a timely basis
- Regularly review and updates employee policies and security procedures in cooperation with Country Consultant and other managers
- Maintain a filing system for employee records and other documents
- Manage and maintain records relating to the acquisition, use, maintenance and disposition of World Renew assets including vehicles
- Support Country Consultant activities in relation to the recruitment process and other human resource matters.
- University Degree in finance and accounting or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experiences working with finance, administration, especially forecasting and budgeting
- Experience working in partnership with local partners.
- Experience managing grants is highly regarded.
- Experience dealing with external auditors.
- Proficiency in developing financial reports, working with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Very good knowledge of Cambodia accounting standards and taxation laws
- Strong analytical and interpretation skills.
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly to non-accountants.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a team and liaise with different stakeholders.
- Fluent English language (written and spoken)

Marketing Executive
This position is for Kasi-Win.
Kasi-Win is a three years pilot business team created by World Renew in Cambodia. It uses a market-oriented approach to bring markets closer to our producers. It creates business opportunities through agricultural investment and value chains for poor farmers in five provinces: Svay Rieng, Prey Veng, Kampong Speu, Kampong Chhnang and Kampot. With World Renew’s support, Kasi-Win is recruiting a Marketing Executive who will be based in Phnom Penh with often traveling to target places.
- Develops and manages Kasi-Win’s retail and wholesale presentations to share with buyers, external and internal stakeholders.
- Creates a strategy to increase sales and constantly find new potential buyers for Kasi-Win’s products.
- Provides coaching and mentoring to Kasi-Win’s farmer groups, including the agriculture business advisors (ABA) on marketing skills and production plans.
- Manages investment fund with clear accounting records, and work closely with World Renew’s partners and Commune Based Organizations (CoBo) to supervise the ABAs to do investment in agriculture with farmer/producer groups to scale up the product to meet buyers’ needs.
- Works with youth groups in rural and urban areas to develop the retail marketing strategy and to promote farmers’ products at all levels.
- Provides advice to producer/farmer groups on market quality and packaging requirements.
- Build connections with other agriculture and business expertise to ensure that our farmers are being updated on technical and business skills.
- Builds connections and mutual relationships between buyers and Kasi-Win’s producers/ farmers and negotiates a long-term agreement for supply and demand.
- Identifies potential products and develops product branding, and ensures the quality of the products are being tested by the agriculture experts.
- Organizes business forums and events to promote agriculture products, as well as improve relationships between producers, buyers, input suppliers, service providers, and relevant stakeholders.
- Researches and analyzes industry needs, market trends, consumer trends, key seasonalities and buying cycles of retailers within the relevant product category
- Does bi-weekly reporting, sharing the very best practice in each province to relevant staff: World Renew, partners, CoBo and ABA.
- Work closely with relevant World Renew staff and report to World Renew’s country director monthly.
- Constantly searches for every opportunity that promotes and stimulates the vision of producer groups to continue their commitment, expand their production, and think creatively.
- Maintaining databases, spreadsheets and tracking documents liaising internally and externally where required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance and accounting, business administration with marketing experience.
- At least 3 years of experience working in marketing retail, Micro Finance Institution with a good understanding of the value chain.
- Experience in QuickBooks will be the advantage
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to travel and work with farmer groups in rural areas
- Demonstrated ability to work with a team and collaborate with different stakeholders.Very good in English language (written and spoken)
