The Coalition of Cambodian Apparel Workers Democratic Union (C.CAWDU) is an independent and democratic federation working to improve the labour conditions of workers in Cambodia’s textile and garment sector. Our goal is to form one voice for all unions, increase union membership and bargaining power in order to negotiate with employers and the government for better working conditions, living wages, and gender equality.
The role
The Project Officer is responsible for successful delivery/implementation of project “Building capacity at grassroots to engage in evidence-based bargaining using publicly disclosed data Phase 2” in accordance with the project integrated design, budget, work plan, M&E plan, and financial management in line with policies and requirements of the Coalition of Cambodian Apparel Workers Democratic Union (C.CAWDU) and donors, making sure that planned outputs are delivered within the limits of time and resource, producing satisfactory outcomes to target beneficiaries.
The post holder works in close collaboration with project team (Including organizing team coordinator, legal team leaders, and C.CAWDU affiliated local trade union branches), Program Manager, President, Vice-President, and General Secretary and protect coordinator of donor in Phnom Penh to deliver good results of the project. S/he is expected to mainstream and implement crosscutting themes included gender and youth in project management cycle.
In the event of an emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
