The World Health Organization Mekong Malaria Elimination (MME) supports the implementation of the strategy and strengthen disease control by: applying effective strategies and policies, including those related to drug resistance; increasing the involvement of communities, health-care providers, nongovernmental organizations and corporate partners, through increased country support and strong partnerships; and to strengthen surveillance, monitoring and evaluation.
WHO/MME is recruiting a Data Analyst under the Special Services Agreement (SSA) to assist the programme for 8 months from 01 May 2021 to 31 December 2021 with possible extension.
Purpose of the Position
Data Analyst will support surveillance data collection, analyse, and interpretation in GMS/country level and working on report development to support accelerating malaria elimination.
Background
The MME supports the implementation of the strategy and strengthen disease control by: applying effective strategies and policies, including those related to drug resistance; increasing the involvement of communities, health-care providers, nongovernmental organizations and corporate partners, through increased country support and strong partnerships; and to strengthen surveillance, monitoring and evaluation. The data collection, analyse, and interpretation of surveillance data is one of the core activities expected in the MME team.
Place of assignment
Data Analyst will be based in WHO Cambodia.
Travel
The selected SSA may require to travel within Cambodia as requested by the MME coordinator/technical officer.
Experience in UN or international organization is a plus.
