Save Cambodia’s Wildlife (SCW) is a leading national NGO working for the protection and conservation of natural resources and wildlife habitats throughout Cambodia. In collaboration with our partner Johanniter International Assistance and under financial support from German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), SCW is undertaking a project titled: “ support climate-smart and productive agricultural practices to contribute to sustainable rural development in Rattanakiri, Kratie and Stung Treng provinces in Cambodia (KHM0106).

The primary objectives of the project KHM0106 is to support climate-smart and productive agricultural practices to contribute to sustainable rural development in Rattanakiri, Kratie and Stung Treng provinces in Cambodia.

The reference project activity is 4.1: SCW coordinates with PDRD to select suitable location for water supply in Year 1. And this activity is based on sites assessment and technical design to serve the need of the target communities as well as to consider the availability of the project budget. The technical drawings are reflecting expressions made by SCW, PDRD, commune councils, village chiefs and local villagers.

Construction Service to Rural and Solar Water Supply Systems

SCOPE OF WORK, DELIVERABLES

A selected firm(s) will fulfil the construction of the three (3) rural and solar water supply systems and assume the following scope of work:

  • Establish two (2) rural and solar water supply systems located at (1) Peam Khe village of Srae Sambor commune and (1) Nhang Som village of Thmar Keo commune of Siem Pang district, Steung Treng province;
  • Establish one (1) rural and solar water supply systems located at Srepok Touch village, Serey Mongkul commune, Konmom district of Rattanakiri Province;
  • The contractor performs construction service according to the technical design specified in Annex.1 and respecting to quantity and quality stated in the proposed bill of quantity in Annex. 2;
  • Undertake commissioning test to all the units to verify that each water supply system does not create adverse system impacts and they perform to the submitted specifications; The contractor provides technical training service to each water supply committee to ensure regular maintenance and sustainability;
  • Within a period of six (6) months, provide monitoring visits to three (3) units of solar water supply system when requested by respective Water Supply Committee; and
  • Provide 1 year warranty after the completion of each solar water supply system. 3.

EXPERT PROFILE

SCW with Johanniter (JUH) will evaluate documents submitted based on selection criteria defined in Annex.3. The followings are the required experiences:

  • At least 5 years proven experience in the construction of related rural pump water supply system
  • Good communication and good reputation in rural communities

TENTATIVE TIMETABLE, MILESTONES & LOCATION

  • Procurement process – 18 th January to 5th February 2021
  • Projected Construction works begin: From 8 th Feb.2021
  • Construction of the three (3) systems: Complete no later than 27th May 2021

to Save Cambodia’s Wildlife’s via regular mail with sealed envelope. Due to the procurement guidelines, email and other expressions of interest cannot be accepted.

  • Quotations will be assessed on a competitive basis by a committee, and the one with the best quality versus overall costs will be selected.
  • The selected bidder will be informed by the 1 st week of February 2021, in order to co-ordinate work plans and plan the assignment in a timely manner.
  • Interviews: SCW reserves itself the right of interviewing the candidate experts as part of the evaluation of offers received.
