This is reflected through provision of specialist paediatric health services that often cannot be found elsewhere, while building the capacity of health workers from throughout Cambodia to enact quality paediatric care. AHC has provided over 2 million medical treatments to children from across the country, but our impact is felt far beyond our hospital walls as we strengthen the healthcare system through innovative and effective programs that address today’s child health challenges. The Finance Director is an important position, which will oversee and drive forward the Finance department, providing operational excellence to AHC.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Finance Director will input to the organisation’s overall strategic direction and will be a source of, direction and encouragement for staff and AHC stakeholders

Duties
  • To bring a seasoned commercial mindset to AHC senior management team
  • Inspire and coach AHC’s finance team and build understanding of financial management across the senior management team
  • Serve as AHC’s financial leader by communicating with and providing technical assistance to partners, funders, auditors, and internal team members, including AHC’s Executive Committee and senior management
  • Leading the development of initiatives supporting AHC’s strategic objective of being a leading model of excellence in non-profit organizational governance
  • Guide the Finance department in the maintenance of robust accounting processes and financial controls which deliver accurate income and expenditure recording, and safeguard good stewardship of the funds entrusted to us
  • Oversee the banking requirements of AH, ensuring adequate facilities in Cambodia and globally whilst minimising the cost to the organisation
  • Oversee the preparation of AHCs financial budget and long-term financial plans ensuring they support the organisations strategic aims – and provide clear advice to the Chief Executive Officer and other senior colleagues on such matters 
  • Develop and implement an information technology strategy for the finance department to deliver effectiveness and efficiency
  • Oversee all aspects of financial reporting to AHC stakeholders, including the Executive committee, the international board, donors, relevant authorities and AHC departments
  • Lead the running of the introduction of fee charging at AHC
  • Ensure the organisation is effectively managing compliance with relevant legislation and regulations – including NGO law, tax law, employment law and data protection – and uphold best practice in all key areas, overseeing legal obligations and advice for all of AHC’s national and international entities
  • Overseeing the company secretarial work for all of AHC’s legal entities
  • Support the Board of directors by being the main point of contact for the Audit and Risk Board Committee and by performing duties as the Board of Directors’ secretary
  • Ensure the organisation effectively manages risk by oversee and updating AHC risk register every quarter with support from the CEO
  • Continually protect, demonstrate, and promote AHC’s values both within the organisation and with external stakeholders, and maintain a positive, healthy and safe working environment for all our people
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, donors, and partners, and represent the organisation externally as required

Fundraising Manager (1 Position)

The Role

The Fundraising Manager will be crucial in supporting AHC’s Development Department who are charged with funding the majority of the organisation’s US$6 million dollar annual operating budget. The Development Department is comprised of the Fundraising and Communication teams who focus largely on international networks and audiences. The Department also works in collaboration with the Cambodian Public Relations team, who focus on developing in-country funding and partnerships.

This position will facilitate the flow of new and existing international revenue streams and contribute to the goal of realising fundraising targets. The ideal candidate will be able to identify new funding opportunities, design and develop proposals for both new and existing donors as well as fulfil grant management responsibilities including supporting the timely development of quality reports and managing project data. As a result, candidates should have a proven record in fundraising from a variety of sources, experience of writing detailed proposals and excellent networking and communication skills. AHC works with leading funders from around the world to achieve our mission and this is a fast paced and varied role, requiring communication and team work in a multicultural environment and across diverse stakeholder groups. Ultimately, the right person for the role will be a part of transforming the healthcare landscape for children in Cambodia.

Duties
  • New business (50%)
  • Successfully identify new high-value donors/funding opportunities and initiate tailored approaches to solicit future partnerships
  • Develop high quality concept notes, proposals and applications, with a value ranging between $1000,000 - $500,000 per annum, while coordinating the development process with all relevant medical and non-medical departments
  • Contribute to the management of AHC’s donor management system, maintaining clear and timely records
  • Provide input on the continuous improvement of the proposal development process
  • Support the Development Director and Deputy-Director to develop new funding strategies and cultivate new donor relationships including organisation of compelling field visits
  • Grant Management (30%)
  • Draft, develop and refine high quality donor reports and associated communications, ensuring compliance with AHC and donor requirements
  • Maintain internal tracking of reporting timelines, including working with relevant departments to coordinate appropriate data collection, analysis and financial reporting
  • Renewals (10%)
  • Cultivate and maintain a portfolio of donors (active and lapsed funders) in order to facilitate the solicitation of additional asks and upgrades
  • Draft compelling renewal concept notes and proposals for active donors with the intention of growing existing grant sizes
  • Other (10%)
  • Review junior team member’s work, providing constructive feedback and training as required
  • Coordinate with AHC’s Communications team to develop case studies and other relevant collateral to aid the fundraising process

Requirements
  • Have a Bachelor degree or higher qualification in business, marketing, communications, international development, or other relevant fields
  • At least five years of experience in fundraising/grant management role with demonstrable experience in securing multi-year proposals valued over US$100,000
  • Have an established network of corporate, foundation/trust, institutional, and or high net worth contacts from previous experience

Your goal will be to activate AHC’s communications plan by leading on-the-ground activities and delivering upon mandatories to increase engagement with audiences, convert prospects, and nurture relationships. The successful applicant will be a person who is highly motivated to learn and further develop their skills working for a NGO.

Duties
  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Strategise, develop and execute on an omnichannel, multi-medium, international communications plan designed to reach new audiences and aid in meeting fundraising targets
  • Write and edit content for the website, newsletters, annual and bi-annual reports, social media, print material and other platforms and formats, ensuring delivery of content that is engaging, informative and effective
  • Maintain multiple social media platforms, website, print and digital media
  • Ensure the creation and deployment of all print and online communications like the annual report, newsletters, and online campaigns are carried out in a timely and effective manner
  • Work in partnership with a small team of in-house national communications staff to build capacity, finding opportunities for increased support and collaboration
  • Work closely with the international and in-country fundraising teams to develop content, marketing material, event collateral and graphics in support of fundraising activities
  • Conceptualise external-facing marketing materials for an international audience
  • Manage a team of in-house and freelance photographers, videographers, writers and graphic designers for the production of print and digital content
  • Ensure brand guidelines, photo policies and consent form policies are adhered to and updated

The Role

The Fundraising Officer will play a supportive role across the Development Department’s various revenue streams and contribute to the achieving fundraising targets by providing quality and proper stewardship of medium sized grants. This will include identifying new funding opportunities and developing and designing proposals for both new and existing donors with the team. The Fundraising Officer will fulfil Grant Management responsibilities including supporting on the timely development of quality reports and supporting the local grants team in editing their work. The Fundraising Officer will also ensure proper filing of related documents and of regularly updating the organisation’s donor tracker.

Duties
  • New business (40%)
  • Identify viable new donors / funding opportunities from various sources
  • Under the guidance of Deputy Development Director, provide dedicated support to the development of high quality concept notes and proposals.
  • Meets proposal deadline by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval
  • Contribute to the management of new business donor and prospect records using eTapestry, maintaining clear and timely records to track contacts, donor giving, notes and assist in the maintenance of an accurate database
  • Grant management (30%)
  • Assist in donor reporting processes through the coordination and drafting of high quality donor reports (quarterly, interim, annual and final), ensuring compliance with AHC and donor requirements.
  • Maintain internal tracking database of reporting timelines and requirements and coordinate with the Deputy Development Director and Fundraising Manager to ensure that appropriate data collection and compilation take place on schedule.
  • Review local grant team member’s reports as requested, providing constructive feedback.Renewals (20%)
  • Cultivate and maintain portfolio of smaller donors (10k – 75k USD) in order to facilitate the solicitation of additional asks and upgrades.
  • Draft renewal concept note and proposals for active donors.

  • Provide support to the Development Department in the organisation of donors' visits.
  • Attend relevant coordination meetings with current and potential donors’ partners and other stakeholders when requested, as delegated by the Deputy Development Director

We are looking for an experienced front-end developer to join our developer team. You probably have at least 1 year of relevant work experience as a web developer, UI developer.

Most of the time, you will be working with the UI/UX design’s tasks by brainstorming the need of AHC’s web or mobile application with developers team at AHC to match with technical implementation, taking an active role in defining how the application looks, as well as how it works. Ideally, you should be able to demonstrate hands-on experience in using current trends and best practices in front-end architecture, including performance optimization, accessibility, and usability.

  • Participate as part of the team in application development life cycle and ensure projects are completed on a timely basis
  • Involve in application programming, integration, enhancement, testing, implementation
  • Create quality mockups and prototypes, ensuring high-quality graphic standards and brand consistency
