Provincial Facilitator

Introduction : This Scope of Work provides the details of the role of the Battambang Provincial Facilitator.

General Project Description :

Harvest II is a five-year contract, which aims to accelerate the growth of Cambodia’s commercial horticulture sector by:

1. Improving the capacities of market actors to participate fully in the value chain
2. Creating linkages between value chain actors and improving overall market chain coordination,
3. Improving the economic governance and enabling environment that support the horticulture sector.

To achieve its purpose, the project will use a buyer-led & market system approach to help buyers and sellers, and other market actors form commercial partnerships to expand sales, create employment, and increase investment and especially build core relationship to each other. Offices in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, and Battambang capitalize on each city’s status as a market for the Zone of Influence including Siem Reap, Pursat, Battambang, and Kampong Thom and provide us efficient access to production areas in each province.

General Responsibilities

Harvest II’s Provincial Facilitator (PF) will act as the technical advisor to oversee successful commercial partnerships in Battambang under supervision of supervisor. The PF will act as the facilitator to help MLC to develop and support commercial horticulture partnerships in Battambang and other extent potential provinces with collaboration of Harvest II technical staff and implementation partners. He will focus on results and play a role as strategic technical advisor to the provincial implementation team.
