Duties
  • To serve as a lecturer in hospitality management courses in the Department of Tourism Management
  • To conduct research and publish per the Department’s research themes and priority.
  • To liaise with the Head of Tourism Management Program regarding students’ progress, attendance patterns and general adherence to the University’s Code of Conduct.
  • To mentor and advice students with any difficulties relating to subjects as required.
  • To keep up to date professionally of current industry trends and relevant local industry in order to best prepare the students for their industry placement and future employment.
  • To assist and participate in other School activities such as events, University’s Open Day, graduation, etc.
  • Assume various administrative tasks and responsibilities towards the Department and, as requested by the Head of Department;
  • Some weekends and evening duties may be required e.g. when there’s an event or open day or graduation preparation, student recruitment interview panels etc.
  • Other tasks that are assigned by the management
Requirements
  • Required qualifications
  • At least a Master’s degree qualification (A PhD holder or close to completing a PhD degree is preferred) preferably in tourism management or related field;
  • At least 2 years of experiences in teaching; a PhD holder is required to have one year experience (including teaching assistantship);
  • Formal training in research methodology and track records in publications in the field of tourism and/or social sciences
  • Project management skills and problem solving
  • Proactive, flexible, creative, highly committed and willing to learn and grow

MAIN KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports. Responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Reports organization's finances to management and offers suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.

Duties
  • Prepare asset, liability and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
  • Document financial transactions by entering account information
  • Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options
  • Summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement and other reports
  • Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents
  • Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
  • Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
  • Secure financial information by completing database backups
  • Verify, allocate, post and reconcile transactions

Position summary A curriculum coordinator’s primary purpose is to create and implement an education plan that meets the needs of students. He or she makes recommendations to teachers and other faculty in regard to the ways in which various subjects are being taught in order to enhance learning.

Duties
  • Supports the development and implementation of the curriculum in a manner consistent with academic head department.
  • Coordinates the curriculum in an effective manner between kindergarten to high school programs, as assigned.
  • Provides staff with the most recent and relevant research information pertaining to science and instructional practices.
  • Systematically evaluates and monitors the curricular/instructional program and uses results in working with staff to plan program improvements.
  • Provides support and consultation to schools and designated times.
  • Provides direct teaching services as assigned by the assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction.
  • Shares with principals the responsibility for formally supervising the classroom procedures of all teachers according to the approved evaluation program in operation.
  • Shares with principals the responsibility for completing the summative evaluations of teachers according to the approved evaluation program in operation.
  • Assists teachers in resolving problems of instruction and acts as a resource person for curriculum questions.
  • Assists in the recruitment, screening, hiring, training, and supervision of personne
  • Conducts curriculum meetings and attends relevant school district and professional meetings as necessary.

Requirements
  • MASTER’s degree in Education or related fields from an internationally accredited institution
  • A minimum of five years of curriculum coordination experience in education institution
  • Deep understanding of current issues in education, including governance and management, student affairs, digital education, faculty development
  • Demonstrated experience in and commitment to working collaboratively with faculty members and academic staffs
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and build consensus and effective internal and external relationship building skills

Duties
  • Designing, developing, and delivering quality lesson plans and curricula that adhere to national and school guidelines;
  • Drawing up suitable assessments and delivering helpful feedback to students, parents, and other teachers;
  • Establishing classroom, lab, and field trip rules and regulations and ensuring that all students understand what is expected of them;
  • Setting up demonstrations, assisting, and supervising students while they conduct experiments.
  • Providing extra resources, support, and interventions for students who are struggling;
  • Grading papers, updating records, and handling various administrative tasks;
  • Creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and voicing \concerns;
  • Assisting with the recruitment and training of all new teachers and providing support to student;
  • Participating in other school activities and regularly communicating with parents;
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging instruction in the form of discussion, direct teaching, demonstrations and independent practice using a variety of proven methods;
