COMPED is a local NGO registered with the Ministry of Interior in 2003, working hand-in-hand with the authorities to deal with waste crisis in Cambodia; exchanging experience to promote agricultural soil; saving the environment; and cooperating with the government in developing educational field by mainly sponsoring children’s training and education.
COMPED is seeking qualified Cambodian nationals to work as positions above, based in Kampong Cham Municipality. Hub Coordinators will support the implementation of Solid Waste Accountability Platform (SWAP) in Kampong Cham Municipality, Kampong Cham province, Cambodia.
SWAP is a collaboration approach led by Triangle Environmental Health Initiative (TEHI) in partnership with DevLab@Duke University, TAF, Cambodian Education and Waste Management Organization (COMPED), and Waste Voice to support waste collection services in 3 urban areas, one of which is Kampong Cham Municipality, in Cambodia. SWAP is fully funded by USAID through TEHI. SWAP will work with private waste collection firms, local stakeholders, and residents to test interventions, including mobile applications, designed to increase accountability and responsiveness in municipal solid waste collection and management in the selected urban areas.
