MAXIMA MICROFINANCE PLC. was founded in March 2000 with the initial objective and mission of providing loans and financial services to low income clients, individuals, groups, or small and medium businesses (SMEs). We have 13 branches, 200 staff, and 6,800 clients. We are looking for potential candidates for the positions below:

Announcement Positions

Chief Operation Officer (1 Position)

Duties
  • Policy/operation manual management
  • Control and manage the branch operation related policies collaborate with subordinate
  • Reporting about branch business
  • Develop and submit both external/internal report based on necessity
  • Branch Operation management
  • Branch operation strategy and target planning and implementation
  • Branch problem solving, team management
  • Branch monitoring both by visit and video call
  • Client management with branches
  • New project related to branches
  • Credit assessment and internal control management
  • Manage credit assessment quality
  • Manage delinquent management, follow up, internal control activities
  • Marketing and Social Performance management (SPM)
  • Plan and implement the marketing activities
  • Plan and implement the SPM activities

  • If proficient in Khmer language, it is a large plus.
  • Functional experience/knowledge
  • A minimum of 3 years of working experiences in a globalized strategic consulting firm.
  • Or, a minimum of 8 years of working experiences in at least one of (1)corporate planning, (2)Company-wide level project management, and (3)end consumer related operation experiences in a global top-tier company in the banking, service, retail, or CPG(Consumer packaged goods) sector.
  • Experience in Microfinance, banking sector in developed countries is a strong plus
  • Experience in digitalization, Macroeconomic project, public sector related project in any sectors are plus.
 

IFRS Specialist (1 Position)

Duties
  • Work with external IFRS specialist in consultation on the implementation process of IFRS.
  • Update Finance and Accounting policy, and procedure align with Cambodia International Financial Reporting Standard (CIFRS).
  • Prepare month, quarterly, or annual report base on requirement from funders, lenders, and group requirement.
  • Prepare and develop template and supporting document for CIFRS
  • Prepare financial statement to ensure alignment to Cambodian Accounting Standard and guideline from National Bank of Cambodia.
  • Work closely with other department, and the IFRS Committee to support the IFRS implementation
  • Research and update for any new IFRS standards
  • Assist Head of Finance Department in identifying gaps and impact of IFRS implementation to the company
Requirements
  • University Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Degree in ACCA or pursue ACCA, or CAT certification.
  • Have at least 2 years of working experience in microfinance, bank, or audit firm.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Computer literacy in Ms. Word, Excel, Power-point, Internet and E-mail.
  • Ability to work with various departments and foster teamwork.
  • Be honest, friendly, active and creative.
  • Ability to work under pressure and highly self-motivated.
  • Able to travel to province for field visit.
 

Senior Internal Auditor (2 Positions)

Duties
  • Implement assignment base on the audit program and plan
  • Conduct operational audit and financial audit for all offices (Branch and Head Office)
  • Conduct client visit to make sure that there is no phantom clients exist
  • Review of compliance with existing policies, regulations, plans and procedures
  • Oversee and execute the follow-up of audit findings
  • Review means of safeguarding assets and provides information and recommendations to correct any errors or mistakes found
  • Prepare audit report after conduct audit
  • Develop strong understanding of company activities and related risks
  • Emerging risks to adequately assess operation and audit related impacts
  • Provide recommendations for developing new audit approaches and/or appropriate controls to mitigate risks
  • Assist and train the new audit staff on audit technique and skill.
Requirements
  • University degree in Audit, Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or related fields
  • Be honest, friendly, active and creative
  • Good Interpersonal Skills
  • High level of written and spoken in Khmer and English language
  • Comprehensive both in Khmer and English

Field Coordinator (2 Positions)

Duties
  • Recruitment, setting up training and rehearsal session to Maxima’s Agent to ensure that they’re properly full understood before allowing them to work and let them aware of their job and responsibilities.
  • Make appointment and proceed signing contract agreement with agents
  • Prepare handout and loan contract document before training and working
  • Collect loan contract documents from field site to Head Office
  • Help support Maxima Agent for promotion
  • Join for appraisal process of Maxima Agent with Field Managers
  • Visit clients in case of late repayment.
  • Inform and update situation of field site to field Manager
  • Creating plans to help agents improve, track their progress to meet the goals of these plans
  • Strongly adhere and follow the guideline and policy of Maxima.
Requirements
  • University Degree in Banking, Finance
  • Able to handle training session for subordinate
  • Must have the ability to make fair and ethical decisions in tough circumstances
  • High self-motivation with strong interpersonal skills
  • Must have the ability to motivate and persuade others, particularly delinquent clients to repay debt
  • Abilities to communicate with local authorities and legal/court members in an articulate and professional manner
  • Fluent in Khmer language and intermediate level for English language
  • Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Power-Point, Internet and E-mail
  • Able to travel to provinces for field visit
