with Center for Khmer Studies
The mission of the Center for Khmer Studies (CKS) is to support research and teaching in the social sciences, arts, and humanities related to Cambodia and the Mekong region. Founded in 1999, CKS aims to foster greater understanding of Cambodia and the Mekong region through its international fellowship programs for students and scholars; workshops; conferences; research programs, and libraries. Operating from both Siem Reap (Headquarters) and its Phnom Penh Office, CKS maintains numerous partnerships with local and international organizations and universities.
Since opening in 2001, the CKS Library has become the largest academic library in Cambodia outside of the capital with a collection of over 27,000 titles on Southeast Asia in the humanities, arts and social sciences. Besides the library’s physical resources, CKS has been working on expanding the library’s digital resources on its online catalog, which is accessible to the public from anywhere. In addition, the CKS library also works to promote reading in Cambodia by organizing and attending educational events and coordinating workshops for Cambodian librarians. The Librarian will work closely with our Head Librarian to contribute to this mission.
Only short-listed candidates will be contacted for an interview. The interview will be conducted on a rolling basis.
