Swisscontact - the Swiss Foundation for Technical Cooperation is an independent, non-profit foundation based in Zürich, founded in 1959 by leading figures from the Swiss private sector and Swiss universities. It is exclusively involved in international development, active in more than 38 countries with 120 programmes with more than 1,000 staff members. Swisscontact has been present throughout South-East Asia for more than 30 years. Swisscontact has been operating in Cambodia since 2013, establishing its office in the country in April 2016.
The enhancing entrepreneurial ecosystem and Investments (3Ei) initiative is funded by Khmer Enterprise (KE), Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and co-implemented by Khmer Enterprise and Swisscontact. 3Ei aims to strengthen entrepreneurial ecosystem and mobilize investments for small and growing businesses. 3Ei consists of four intervention areas (IAs) /pillars, which include— IA1) Enhance connections and collaborations among system’s actors to strengthen an enabling environment for entrepreneurial networks to form high quality connections to support entrepreneurship and to deep trust-based relationship among entrepreneur support organizations (ESOs); IA2) Strengthen entrepreneurship and innovation to improve programs, strengthen ESOs performance and deliver service of high value to entrepreneurs through strategic and practices as well as valuable international connections; IA3) Technical assistance facility pillar that would help to build investable pipeline and mitigate risk for the impact investors to mobilize investment for small and growing businesses (SGBs), further bolstering their development and success, and, IA4) Strengthen data to foster investments to understand the relationships between actors and how resources such as information, funding, and talent among others, move in the system.
