Position Summary

Reporting to: Head of Operations

About the Position

The primary function of the work-stream and of the role of Assistant Manager– Pricing & Procurement is to develop and drive procurement strategy for all business units such as Sea/Air freight, inland transportation and other logistics services, defining guidelines and processes for responsibilities diversification between Corporate and Regions. Drive to generate business across regions to support expansion and optimization of carrier’s portfolio and cost. Support the Company strategy on a local level and work towards helping the Company to be the recognized industry leader.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Shipping Lines, Airline and third-party logistics providers.
  • Checking & negotiate Sea freight, Air freight, inland transportation and other logistics services.
  • Negotiate terms, Space, Allocation, Rates and Penalties with Shipping Lines, Airline (Carriers) for Commercial team under Company strategies.
  • Analyse market trends and monitor and control cost-saving to ensure budget compliance.
  • Monitor carrier performance and service levels.
  • To Communicate with overseas agents regarding all inquiries
  • To understand rate sheet and discuss with all shipping line (Carriers).
  • Handle Global/Regional/Local RFQ/RFI and support the development business together with commercial team.
  • Achieving KPI target, budget and assistant to management.
  • Support Operations to achieve company and commercial strategies.
  • Another task assigned by Head of Department
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in management or any related fields such as transport, logistics, supply chain etc.
  • Minimum 5years+ of relevant working experience in the industry or related fields.
  • Good command of English, Chinese is a plus
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio and other applications)
 

Field Sales/Outside Sales

Position Summary

Reporting to: Sales Manager

About the Position

Keep, develop and secure business with new and existing Sea/Air Freight, Trucking, Customs Brokerage, Warehouse customers. Monitors and penetrates the market to acquire new business. Measured against defined KPI’s leading to revenue, volume and profitable growth. Ensuring overall customer satisfaction.

This role will focus on generating new revenue and sustaining existing revenue in the assigned area. The person will be responsible for all sales activities including promoting current products, as well as the development and implementation of new products.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Sustain and build a strong sales pipeline with current and new customers.
  • Identification of new business potential and customers according to the defined sales strategy
  • Manage and nurture strong customer relationships for long-term revenue – this includes proactive customer management, engagement, identification of needs, generating proposals and developing high value, innovative transportation solutions to meet customer needs
  • Active stakeholder management and collaboration with commercial, and solution teams on RFI/RFQ/RFP, solutioning and implementation
  • Identify new business opportunities for the company and cross-sell products
  • Support marketing campaigns by visiting target customers
  • Creation of yearly sales planning for own customer portfolio
  • Accountable and ownership of sales metrics including regular reviews and preparation of sales reports
  • Ensure agreed DSO/overdue levels are in control; work with credit control team on managing and recovering account receivables
Requirements:
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in sales/marketing or any related fields such as logistics and supply chain management etc.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant working experience, experience with logistics and freight forwarding business will be a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong sales competencies such as Strategic Selling Skills, Strategic Account Management Skills, Customer-centric, Presentation and Negotiation Skills
  • Result oriented.
  • Analytical skills to solve complex problems
  • Strong writing and oral communication skills – competent in English language written and spoken. Can speak Chinese is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and other applications)
