with Patient Information Center (Mopotsyo)
Since 2005, Cambodian NGO, MoPoTsyo Patient Information Centre is reaching more and more diabetes and high blood pressure patients with services in public hospitals, health centers and communities through Peer Educator Networks: More than 200 trained diabetes patients in 28 operational districts in 12 provinces are volunteering as Peer Educators who help with counseling and access to services. They help facilitate the public services being used by more than 30,000 patients with Diabetes and Hypertension who are members of MoPoTsyo. Through small contributions, the patients finance the Revolving Drug Fund (RDF), that gives them access to their daily medication, close to where they live. These medicines and supplies pass through MoPoTsyo’s stocks. They are accounted for by our not-for-profit Cambodian NGO working in close cooperation with Ministry of Health and other government counterparts to combine all efforts in combating the growing burden of chronic Non-Communicable Diseases.
