The Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (RWI) has worked for nearly forty years to promote respect for human rights through research, education and capacity development. RWI is an independent academic institution established at Lund University in Sweden in 1984. We combine multi-disciplinary human rights research with education, capacity building, and outreach to contribute to a wider understanding of, and respect for, human rights and humanitarian law. We work with four thematic areas within human rights: ‘access to justice’, ‘non-discrimination and inclusion’, ‘human rights and the environment’ and ‘business and human rights’. Since the early 1990s, we have cooperated with a wide range of institutions and organisations in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East, to advance the practical application of human rights around the world. Our cooperation is characterised by mutual trust, long-term commitment, and achievement of common objectives. Currently, we have offices in Harare, Jakarta, Lund, Nairobi, Phnom Penh, and Yerevan.

About the position
RWI is seeking highly qualified candidates for a short-term Proposal Writing consultancy contract for EU Human Rights Program Proposals in Cambodia. With input and support from RWI, the incumbent will support the proposal development process serving as the lead writer for an upcoming EU call for proposals focused on Support to Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and Support to Human Rights and Democracy (HR&D) in Cambodia.
You will research and analyze the latest EU call for proposals related to human rights programs in Cambodia. Collaborate with our program team based in Cambodia to understand RWI's unique added value, current project goals, objectives, and activities, including the current situation in Cambodia concerning human rights education and research. The role involves developing a comprehensive and persuasive concept note and grant proposal that aligns with EU guidelines and priorities. Participate in proposal review rounds and revisions, ensuring the proposal is complete and accurate. Effective communication with stakeholders will be key as necessary information and feedback are gathered. Compliance with EU guidelines and best practices in grant writing will also be ensured.
