Research Executive - Quantitative (5 Positions)

Duties
  • Assistance in Liaising with clients: This includes taking client briefs and communicating with clients regarding details of requests for quotes (RFQs) and projects from set-up up to presentation of results
  • Assistance in Proposal Preparation and Project Management: This includes the below tasks:
  • Prepare project budgets, costing, schedules based on discussions with clients and internal discussions
  • Coordinate with field and data processing group for costing of potential projects
  • Prepare proposals as per project requirement
  • Update all team members concerned with project progress throughout the mobilization, implementation, analysis and reporting stages
  • Assist in preparation and translation of fieldwork materials (such as screener, questionnaires and stimulus materials) from English to Khmer and vice-versa
  • Assist or lead project briefings to ensure that research is conducted in accordance with Indochina Research and client specifications
  • Work closely with the project staff (Fieldwork, Quality Control and Data Management), sub-contractors
  • And management to plan and organize work for research projects to ensure efficient and effective management and coordination of research projects and project schedules are met (includes validation of fieldwork data
  • Inform Client Management Group and clients of any issues that might affect the timely completion of projects, and to identify possible solutions to those problems, to ensure they are resolved.
  • Learn and practice drafting of project reports within a satisfactory standard (well structured, accurate information & analytical comments) to RMs/SRMs for addition and review prior to final deadline delivery to the client
  • Assistance in Business Development Initiatives of the Business Unit
  • Attend meetings with clients / prospective clients together with RMs/SRMs
  • Help develop business by searching for prospective clients (can be done via email or calls)
  • Be an ambassador and advocate for Indochina Research within networks throughout Cambodia in order to build its reputation and increase its share of commercial research spending in Cambodia
  • Contribute and develop ideas with SMT for Indochina Research’s business growth and efficient operation
  • Assist colleagues - when workload allows - in their development of Marketing Research and Project Management Skills by providing workplace mentoring and guidance
  • Compliance with Administrative Guidelines and Procedures
  • Maintain accurate project expense records to ensure compliance with Indochina Research financial administrative procedures
  • Accurately prepare and complete necessary administrative documents within specified timeframes to ensure compliance and efficient management of internal administrative procedures
Requirements
  • Has strong ability to learn new techniques and develop market and social research skills
  • Has excellent listening & communication abilities in both English and Khmer – spoken and written. Proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) language, written and spoken, is a plus.
  • Has excellent project management skills
  • Has good people management skills
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Has experience in conducting Quantitative Market Research projects techniques for at least one (1) year is a plus but fresh graduates are welcome to apply
 

Fieldwork Supervisor (4 Positions)

Duties
  • To work closely with the Client Management Group and (Senior) Field Manager to plan and organize work for research projects;
  • To do Fieldwork Plans and execute these by working closely with Client Management Team, Field Team Leaders and Field Interviewers on fieldwork management, quality controls, respondent quota controls etc.
  • To supervise teams of interviewers and other fieldwork staff to ensure data collection is carried out correctly, quality control procedures are followed and appropriate documentation are prepared accurately such as Field Progress Reports, Callsheets, Quality Control Forms etc..
  • To conduct pre-fieldwork meetings with Client Management Group on client requirements, questionnaire format/logic and project schedules;
  • To conduct interviewer briefings, questionnaire pre-testing, pilot test and debriefing sessions in Phnom Penh and in provinces;
  • To proactively spot field execution issues and identify resolutions, and to execute these resolutions
  • To immediately inform the Field Manager of issues effecting the timely completion of projects;
  • To maintain accurate project expense records;
  • To collaborate with Field Manager to periodically review and update reporting templates to improve quality and usefulness;
  • To follow strictly the Operations Manual
  • To become a goodwill ambassador of IRL to interviewers and team leaders
  • To assist (Senior) Field Manager in recruiting team leaders and field interviewers
  • To supervise 1 or 2 Field Executives
  • To supervise teams of interviewers and other fieldwork staff to ensure data collection is carried out correctly, sampling and quality control procedures are followed and appropriate documentation is prepared.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years experience in managing/supervising fieldwork teams for market and social research agency (or any other association with data gathering procedure) -- both Business-to-Consumer and Business-to-Business research studies, both paper and offline tablet surveys, both Consumer and Social Research studies
  • Has strong network of interviewers and team leaders
  • Preferably but not required - Bachelor Degree in marketing, social sciences, management or equivalent
  • Has good project management skills –time management, handle project resources & logistics, project and staff coordination
  • Has experience in handling Field Executives before
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Ability to work independently and within the team
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, at ease with both local and international audience
  • Proactive in identifying issues and have solutions to the issues
  • Excellent Khmer language skills and good to acceptable English Reading, Writing & Speaking Skills;
  • Good Knowledge of MS Excel and Word
 

Quality Control Executive (1 Position)

Duties
  • To work closely with the GM, CMG Staff, Field Manager (FM) and Data Manager (DM) to plan and organise quality controls (QC) on fieldwork of research projects to ensure the level of data quality is achieved and schedules are met.
  • To take part in pre-Fieldwork meetings / project briefing with relevant Field Staff so that questionnaire format, logic is understood and plan work schedules for each project.
  • To ensure the working schedules are adhered as agreed during pre-fieldwork meetings
  • Fully in charge of QC process and documentation for every project
  • Working time is 70% in field ; 30% in the office
  • To coordinate with Field Staff in order to provide weekly report to CMG staff about fieldwork and QC progress and level of accuracy when required.
  • To immediately inform CMG Staff / Field Staff of any issues that might effect the timely completion of projects, and to identify possible solutions to those problems to ensure they are resolved.
  • To inform CMG Staff and Field Staff about interviewer performance at the end of each project so that interviewers performance can be updated accordingly.
  • To conduct meetings as required with CMG Staff and Field Staff to highlight errors so that data collection difficulties can be quickly resolved
  • To maintain and keep QC records / files
  • To be the main person in the recruitment of QC Staff and QC outsourced agencies
  • To be the main person in managing and monitoring performance of QC Staff and QC outsourced agencies
Requirements

Data Management Executive (1 Position)

Duties
  • To consult with the Data Management Team prior to date entry for any particular project to ensure that data processing, cleaning and analysis requirements for each project are understood.
  • To design project databases (Excel, CSPro, SPSS, Snap Survey and Survey Togo) that fulfill the analysis needs of the project and also ensure that data punching can be carried out quickly and accurately and that all required quality checks are in place.
  • To brief and train DP staff on DP requirements of each project to ensure that each projects is completed correctly and efficiently.
  • To assist in the recruitment of part-time data entry staff as required by company operations, project needs, and as directed by IRL Management.
  • To liaise with the Data processor/QC to solve any data quality issues related to data entry and cleaning and ensure that data punching is completed according to schedule.
  • To carry out data cleaning procedures, in accordance with IRL quality control procedures, including documenting the actions taken to clean the data.
  • To support the Data Management Team as needed to prepare data tabulations, conduct detailed data analysis and produce reporting outputs within agreed deadlines.
  • To immediately report to Data Management Team any difficulties that may impact on achieving project deadlines so that they can be resolved as soon as possible.
  • To attend project briefings as required with relevant Client Service and Operations staff so that questionnaire and other survey documents and project schedules are understood.
  • As required by the Data Management Team, oversee data entry and quality control of DP staff to enable accurate and efficient analysis and interpretation of the survey data.
  • To be an ambassador and advocate for IRL within the Business Community and other organizational networks throughout Cambodia in order to build IRL reputation and increase IRL share of marketing research spending in Cambodia.
Requirements
  • Has basis analytical and statistical skills – including knowledge of statistical analysis software
  • At least university graduate from a reputable university. FRESH GRADUATES in Statistics, Economics and related courses are welcome
  • Basic analytical and statistical skills - statistical analysis software/ system
  • Has knowledge of research and data processing best practices, especially related to setting up and cleaning databases
  • Has BASIC skill in SPSS, intermediate skills in MS Excel & MS Power Point
  • Has ability to work in a team and add value to the functioning of the team
  • Has a strong team work skills
  • Has a good English and Khmer Language Skills – Spoken, Reading, and Writing. Strong advantage for the candidate who can speak, understand and write Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese)
