• Project management, quality reviews, and training employees.
• Perform analytical modeling of structures and components of structures utilizing STAAD/RISA 3d software or other structural software.
• Check inspection reports by assigning repair priorities and providing repair recommendations, based on the inspection findings.
• Produce drawings in accordance with the current industry and company’s standards.
• Provide recommendations and repair plans for critical deficiencies found in the field during inspection work.
• Assist with engineering studies, calculations, detailed design documents and specifications.
• Review calculations, drawings, and reports produced by other structural engineers or inspectors in the office.
• Design structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and foundation.
• Develop, maintain, and upgrade technical standards/specifications to be used on specific projects, as well as centralized design basis and historical references.
• Complete all tasks in accordance with design and project execution procedures and guidelines as set forth in the corporate Project Management System.
• Manage project progress relative to project plan, schedule, and budget.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are important.
• Use of current computer software including general office products, design and business enterprise software. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) required – create models thru the final solution based on the project’s inputs.
• Contribute to company improvements in workflow, methods of work execution, and continued standards improvements.
