Afdi (French farmers and international development) is a non-governmental association animated by farmers dedicated to international solidarity. Afdi supports family farming and promotes values like solidarity, reciprocity and civic participation.
Afdi relies on its members' professional experiences (farmers’ cooperatives, trade-unions, etc). Its actions are based on dialogue and exchanges of experiences between farmers and farmers’ organizations from France and developing countries.
The Afdi network is based on 11 regional agencies with partnerships in 16 countries. It has an office in Mali, Burkina Faso, Benin/Togo, Madagascar, Chad and Haiti.
FAEC (Facilitation Association of Economy for Cooperatives) is a national federation of farmer organizations for facilitating and promoting family agriculture enterprise in Cambodia. FAEC is formerly registered with the government of Cambodia which complied to the law of association and non-governmental organization management. FAEC is working to provide services to 68 existing members of farmer organizations in 12 provinces of Cambodia.
Objectives
FAEC and Afdi are expecting this study to help next program start-up with a better knowledge of the context and its opportunity, including cooperation with the other FO and agri-agencies engaged in Cambodia.
Aspects to study
After elaborating a cartography of FO’s in Cambodia, the study will focus on 3 main topics:
Methodology elements, estimated calendar and budgetary guidelines
Restricted call for proposal on 13th of february, 2020 / Return expected for 16th march, 2020
The available budget for this study is 28 000 $
External expertise required
At least one member of the team is expected to speak French, and one can speak Khmer, all should speak and write English.
This call for expressions of interest is intended to identify consultants. Following this call, a pre-selection will be made, then a restricted call for proposal will be issued to the pre-selected consultants-es, based on the final terms of reference of the study.
At this point, the CV of the consultant proposed to be head of mission is requested. As a team of consultants should be established, sending the CV of the associated consultant is not required at this stage but is encouraged..
