Kawsang is a technology social enterprise (previously: InSTEDD iLab Southeast Asia). We work with partners such as governments, development sector partners and people in local communities. Together, in cross-sectional collaborations, we co-design solutions for some of the key challenges in Low and Middle Income Countries (LMIC).

Kawsang is looking for an ICT Trainer and Facilitator. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, preparing and delivering training/facilitation to our end-users (NGOs, students, teachers, community users). You will have an opportunity to combine your passion for teaching/facilitating, with your enthusiasm for technology. We are looking for a dynamic, highly organized, self-starter to join our team.

Job Description: The ICT Trainer and Facilitator will design, prepare and deliver/facilitate ICT trainings on ICT related tools to our partners or end-users. In this position, you will work closely with the technical team and project manager. In addition, you will work with our end-users and partners on various projects at Kawsang.

Duties
  • Provide training on the digital tools to our users/stakeholders
  • Design technical manuals using simple language
  • Create and prepare training materials such as videos or manuals for the digital tools to support the trainings to partners as appropriate
  • Attend partner and stakeholder meetings to present digital tools and contribute to the discussion
  • Provide support to partners on how to use the digital tools
  • Support our technical team in conducting prototype field validations with end-users
  • Observe and note down partners feedback about the digital tools and share the feedback with the technical team, in order to keep on evolving the tools in response to users' needsOrganize, lead and facilitate community technology events
Requirements
  • Professional or academic training in Computer Science, or related fields
  • Proven work experience as an ICT trainer, ICT facilitator or similar roles
  • Native-language level oral and written communication skills in Khmer
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent technical communication skills with the ability to explain “translate” technical concepts to everyday language
  • Ability to write activity reports in English
  • Proactive and can-do attitude
  • Knowledge of human Centred Design is a plus
  • Ability to work at our Phnom Penh (BKK2) office and travel for field work
