Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC), through Ministry of Commerce has received financial and technical assistance from the Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF) programme in implementing projects and activities related to the Cambodia Export Diversification and Expansion Programme (CEDEP), which forms part of the Aid for Trade for least developed countries. The EIF for the Trade-Related Technical Assistance (TRTA) to the least developed countries (LDCs) is the only multilateral partnership dedicated exclusively to assisting least developed countries (LDCs) in the use of trade as an engine for growth, sustainable development and poverty reduction. The EIF partnership of 51 countries, 24 donors and eight partner agencies work closely with governments, development organizations, civil society, and academia. The partnership leverages its collective know-how, outreach and experience to tackle the world’s most pressing trade-for-development issues.
The EIF is built on the principles of country ownership and partnership, it has allowed the country to enhance its national capacity to formulate, implement, manage and monitor a pro-poor trade policy that is consistent with and supported to the National Strategic Development Plan (NSDP) and its Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
The Department of International Cooperation (DICO) of the Ministry of Commerce, serving as Secretariat and National Implementation Unit (NIU) to the EIF, is hiring an independent project legal adviser to ensure legal compatibility and legal validity of several outputs expected to be delivered by the Go4eCAM project. The position is offered on a part-time basis and is open to Cambodian nationals only.
The Consultant will report to the Director of DICO. The Consultant is not expected to be stationed at the Department of International Cooperation but should be expected to brief the project team for each of the deliverables above.

Interested consultants must provide their updated curriculum vitae, indicating personal and technical skills, academic qualifications, experience in similar assignments, and experience in Cambodia and/or other developing countries along with the names of at least three (3) referees with contact information (e-mail address, telephone or fax numbers). Expressions of Interest shall be submitted in hard copy followed by an electronic copy.
Interested consultants may obtain copies of the detailed Terms of Reference (in English) for the assignment by sending a request by Email or from the address during office hours from 8:30am to 12:00am and from 2:00pm to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday, except public holidays.
