Honour Village Cambodia (HVC) was officially registered in 2010 as a local non-profit NGO with the Ministry of Interior in Cambodia. We work with communities to provide opportunities for change through education.

We are looking for qualified candidate to fill for the position below.

Announcement Positions

Accountant and Administrator (1 Position)

Reporting to: Country Director

Working Hours: 40 hours/week. Weekend and evening work required

Duties
  • Maintaining all bank accounts, petty cash and donations in Cambodia.
  • Keeping up to date accounts of all transactions.
  • Be responsible for entering financial information into QuickBooks and Excel
  • Using recognised systems of accounting and preparing financial reports for government departments, sponsors, Board and donors.
  • Preparing salaries twice monthly and paying staff accordingly.
  • Preparing regular cash counts and document balances in collaboration authorized person.
  • Prepare cash advances and the cash advance register.
  • Responsible for paying and withholding tax, Insurance etc for staff of HVC.
  • Taking responsibility after discussion with staff for preparing yearly budgets.
  • Supervising the Registrations Officer in the collection of school contributions, checking money and assisting with non-payments.
  • Supervising the Security staff.
  • Purchasing of goods within the budget and paying invoices promptly.
  • To deputise for the CD if he is away.
  • Record assets and keep inventory.
  • Keep staff records.
  • Interview candidates for roles within the finance department
  • Work with CD to ensure he/she is aware of financial position.
  • Work as part of the management team and meet as agreed to maintain the growth and success of HVC.
  • Attend any meetings/workshops as invitation of relevant institutions and with board meeting.
  • Be responsible for arranging venue of meetings or trainings
  • Facilitate the organization of meetings, workshops, trainings and other logistics work;
  • Printing, copying the documents for project activities;
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Finance
  • 2 - 4 years working experience in Accounting, Administration and Finance.
  • Good knowledge in local tax laws
  • Experiences with NGO is preferable.
  • Strong project accounting/administration and office management background.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office and products
  • Good at English (Speaking, Listening, Writing & Reading)
  • Good team spirit.
  • Self-motivated team player able to work with little supervision
  • Good attitude and inter-personal skills;
  • Be polite and friendly;
  • Computer Knowledge: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Quick book, Email and PowerPoint).
