Invitation for Submission of Quotations for Fruit Processing Equipment / Materials

Anlong Veng district is a district in Oddar Meanchey province, which is geographically adjacent to Preah Vihear, Siem Reap, and Banteay Meanchey provinces and has an international border crossing with Thailand (Choam Sadam). There are many farmers in the Anlong Veng district currently planting mangoes on an area of more than 2,000 hectares, which produces mangoes twice a year (naturally and technically driven). Hence, the majority of farmers who have mango trees and are planning to plant mango trees decided to unite as a community and registered with the Oddar Meanchey Provincial Department of Agriculture as the Anlong Veng Meanchey Agricultural Community. After registering as a community, members and leaders worked hard to learn how to process mangoes that are left over from orders of local and foreign traders. Especially turmeric mangoes are currently not in high demand that is not qualified in accordance with traders’ demand. In the year 2021, through the support of GIZ 7 members of the A.M.A.C have been trained by Malay AC to process various fruits.

Currently, the Anglong Veng Meanchey Agricultural Cooperative is implementing a project on promoting agro-processed products, which is funded by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). The upcoming plan is to purchase fruit processing equipment/material to dehydrate various fruits and as well as to start up a fruit processing business.
