This announcement includes three different opportunities. Specifically, Peace Corps Cambodia seeks to hire multiple Language and Cross-culture Facilitators (LCFs), two (2) Homestay & Site Coordinators (HSCs), and two (2) Technical Trainer Assistants (TTA) for our Pre-Service Training (PST) for the English Teaching Project. WORK HOURS: 48 hrs/week
WORK PERIOD: June 25, 2020 – September 11, 2020
LCFs live and work closely with a small group of American Peace Corps Trainees throughout Pre-Service Training. LCFs conduct Khmer language classes and help small groups of 5-6 Peace Corps Trainees (PCTs) learn Cambodian culture and the skills needed to live in Cambodia. They must follow prescribed curriculum and effectively use a variety of language training techniques and methodologies. LCFs serve as a prime bridge between the Trainees and their host families and training communities. LCFs also participate in the evaluation of the language training program. The LCF operates under the direct guidance and supervision of the Language and Cultural Coordinator (LCC).
WORK HOURS: 48 hrs/week
WORK PERIOD: June 1, 2020 – September 11, 2020
HSCs are responsible for coordinating the identification, selection and development of Peace Corps Trainees (PCTs) and Language and Cultural Facilitators (LCFs) home-stays in the training villages. They will provide ongoing support and cross-cultural feedback to both host families and PCTs/LCFs. Additionally, as the Site Coordinator, they will be the primary liaison between the hub site training staff and the LCFs, school officials, other community resources in the district training sites, and PST staff. They communicate with the Language and Cultural Coordinator (LCC), Training Manager (TM), and Technical Trainers on a regular basis and attend all PST logistical meetings. The HSC operates under the direct guidance and supervision of the Training Manager (TM).

Peace Corps Cambodia seeks two Technical Trainer Assistants (TTA) for our K14 Pre-Service Training (PST) for the English Teaching Project. The Technical Trainer Assistant (TTA) lives and works closely with a small group of American Peace Corps Trainees (PCT) throughout Pre-Service Training. He/she conducts technical Khmer language lessons based on Education. Additionally, the TTA provides PCTs Cambodian cultural knowledge, and context. The TTA supports Technical Trainers by following a prescribed curriculum, working in and with the community to create community based learning activities and providing analysis of how the education system functions. The TTA plans sessions with the Technical Trainers and operates under the direct guidance and supervision of the Training Manager (TM).
