Invitation to Bid for Hire Car Rental for One Year

The Center for Health and Social Development (HSD) is a Cambodian non-profit organization established in 2012 to build on and extend the reach of high-quality health and social interventions. The HSD staff bring extensive experience working in remote areas of Cambodia on issues such as malaria among mobile and migrant populations. We are currently implementing a study on pro-active case detection and community participation for malaria elimination in Oddar Meanchey, in close collaboration with the Cambodian National Malaria Center (CNM), with funding from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). The research will produce evidence for the design and implementation of pre-elimination strategies, particularly the active screening and treatment of household and high-risk contacts of index cases and high-risk groups (such as MMP) using molecular diagnostics and community participation. Our work builds on the experience of HSD staff who have worked with the US-based University Research Co. LLC, on the USAIDǀPMI Control and Prevention of Malaria (CAP-Malaria Project) which had MMP as a specific target group.The HSD staff implemented MMP surveys among migrants in the four high-risk malaria provinces of Pursat, Battambang, Oddar Meanchey, and Stung Treng. Based on the survey findings, the staff developed innovative strategies to increase malaria knowledge and uptake of malaria services, such as working through transportation providers and employers. HSD also brings strong management. In addition to the LSHTM studies covering hsRDT and use of radical treatment for P.v, we have also received the second round of funding from the World Diabetes Foundation for strengthening integration of tuberculosis and diabetes service delivery in Cambodia, expanding from 3 operational districts (ODs) during 2013-2016 to seven districts during 2017-2020.
