Go Ahead Organization (Go Ahead!) is a non-government and non-profit organization. It was established with the Ministry of Interior of Kingdom of Cambodia # 559, in February 09, 2018. It is implementing projects to help unprivileged people through education, rural development, vocational training skills and family empowerment in rural area of Taingkouk district-Kampong Thom and Kampong Laeng district-Kampong Chhnang.

Report to: Senior Social Worker, CFO and CEO

Supervisor: Senior Social Worker

Purpose

Act to enable unprivileged children who would not be able to afford a good education to get the best education according to their ability. This includes help for individual students in public schools, Vocational Training or getting a University Degree.

Responsible

She/he is responsible for assisting school dropout prevention and child safety environment. She/he holds on different program areas in iHerb Open Space School Program, case management role in Student Support Program, Preschool Project and Direct Assistant Program. She/he work with clients to ensure children in a whole of journey in best education and strengthen family support system in rural area through transforming unprivileged elderly people in need of assistance into independent life.

Duties
  • Adhere vision, mission and value of Go Ahead Organization
  • Ask Offering supervisions from senior social worker and facilitate in regular in case management team meeting
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Be role model of humanity, emotional maturity, patience, love, acceptance, encouragement and compassion
  • Build relationship with clients’ families of Go Ahead Organization by regular conducting home visiting plan
  • Conduct case management process into proper multiple perspective in different area of programs
  • Response to absence cases and behavioral issues cases reports by iOSS (iHerb Open Space School) teacher of Go Ahead Organization to families in community in order to conduct home visit or assessment of risk factors/protections factors and find solutions with clients/ families who is able to promote.
  • Conduct assessment of physical, educational, family and proper multiple perspectives of iOSS student families and seek to understand the needs of the family work with family to develop a plan for education and an improved home environment where necessary.
  • Keep up to date/record and accurate on home visits and communication with families using the forms provided by iOSS
  • Maintain strict confidentiality about all information and records pertaining to the students and families whose received iOSS services
  • Lead to entities iOSS, partnership, referral resources and networks with communities related to medical care, education, vocational training and other organization offering to families especially students.
  • Participant and share relevance trainings
  • Prepare all documents in well-organized case files in folder well
  • Undertake well with supervisor and team by phone call in working hour if extra is needs.
  • Working closely with all social workers, head teacher and iOSS teachers
  • Build good relationship and communication with all staff at Go Ahead
  • Work with clients into proper action plan, monitor and evaluation plan and termination plan
  • Assist to contribute development systems which make it easy to work with client and reporting
  • Other duties assigned
Requirements
  • At least high school or bachelor degree in majoring in social science, community development, or awareness of community empowerment program
  • Basic computer skills
  • A good command of English
  • Good of communication skill
  • See problems as opportunities critically
  • Deal with team well
  • Good in interpersonal skill, politeness and cultural sensitive
  • Ability to develop and maintain self-care plan
  • She/he commit child protection policy and code of conduct
  • Desire exploration experience in grassroots NGO
  • Understood grassroots education context
