Head of Operation

Position Summary

We’re looking for a highly-driven and motivated Head of Operations for our team in Cambodia. If you are looking for a place where you can gain hands-on exposure and have direct impact, then this may be the place for you! 

The ideal candidate will have a track record as a significant individual contributor – comfortable working independently, whilst working closely with the management team.

This role will be based in Cambodia and will report to the Managing Director.

As our Head of Operations, you will be responsible for setting up and optimizing processes, while running the day to day operations of the business:

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Lead the Operations team - Manage a team of 10+ people and 2,000+ riders
  • Lead Operations strategy - Challenge the status quo and find innovative ways to improve the operations ecosystem
  • Full ownership of Operations P&L
  • Analyze and track KPIs to improve the delivery setup and overall operational performance, and take customer experience to the next level
  • Scale and maintain our rider fleet - Ensure a constant and adequate inflow of rider supply and focus on rider retention, community and engagement
  • Competitive Intelligence - Keep active track of competitors and stay ahead of the curve, in competitiveness and innovation
  • Feedback on tech product and manage roll-outs - Ensure seamless app and feature roll outs to improve operational efficiency and user (rider/ops team) experience
  • Support other departments with operational guidance and resources
  • Lead the strategy and expansion of our Cloud Kitchens project (managing and opening facilities from which we operate delivery-focused restaurants)
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • You have successfully completed a Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree is a strong plus
  • Stronger Analytical Skill, Process Driven
  • You have at least 3 year of work experience in operations, consulting, banking or a high growth start-up
  • You have strong leadership and communication skills, work independently and are reliable
  • You are process-oriented and data-driven
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, or Google equivalents

Senior Finance Executive

Position Summary

Note : Position available for Cambodia Citizen Only.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Monitor, manage and reconcile marketing budgets for local entities.
  • Work closely with local, regional and global marketing teams to identify marketing costs attributable to local entities.
  • Develop scalable marketing cost reporting dashboards; drive scalable automation to streamline financial reporting for marketing costs
  • Create ad hoc marketing and financial analyses: new markets, new partnerships, project recaps, cost saving initiatives, etc.
  • Manage the overall accounting and booking for marketing expenses to respective GL codes.
  • Conduct the weekly meeting with local, regional, and global marketing team to identify which marketing channel will be used based on invoice submission forms
  • Maintain and update the CLM marketing accrued tracker sheet with clear explanation
  • Develop accounting policy and procedure for marketing cost
  • Support local finance team during month end close: identify appropriate Marketing GL Accounts based on spend type, perform accrual postings for marketing spend, variance analysis, financial reporting, account reconciliations.
  • Perform tasks assigned by managers/management team
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; MBA or an advanced degree is a plus
  • Minimum 5-8 years relevant experience
  • Excellent computer and analytical skills – with a deep understanding of Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong IFRS knowledge and experience in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

Billing Manager

Position Summary

Process Invoices - Invoices are how vendors ultimately get paid, therefore it will be your most important responsibility. You will need to have a strong affinity for different systems as this role will require you to interface with SAP, Salesforce and other Business Intelligence Tools. You will also require organizational skills and high attention to detail to analyze data sets and to ensure all invoices are accurate and generated in a timely manner.

Report and Resolve Payment Issues - This is a task that can require conflict resolution skills, as it can involve disputing payment and reconciling issues with both internal stakeholders as well as external vendors. It also takes organizational and communication skills to succeed in this role - as some issues must be documented, communicated and escalated to multiple teams.

Support Month End Close Reporting - You should understand the Revenue Accounting Principles and own the corresponding entries in the financial statements. This is especially important as you will be dealing with large transactions volumes and will be assisting local teams in understanding with revenue bookings during month end close process.

Produce Reports – You should be familiar with Google Suite applications and have strong MS Excel skills as you will be required to prepare and present ad-hoc billing reports to decision makers.

Drive Automations – You enjoy identifying automation opportunities and actively participate in driving system enhancements that streamline revenue operations processes.

  • Knowledge of (or experience in) tech industry or fast paced environments
  • Experience with SQL or the desire to learn
  • Familiar with IFRS revenue recognition principles
  • Demonstrated professional experience using Excel and working with large data sets.
  • The ability to be flexible and comfortable with changing requirements.
  • Demonstrated project management experience and the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • A builder’s mindset and a willingness to question assumptions and conventional wisdom. You love creating new systems and solvaaing problems via infrastructure and automation.

  • 6+ years of relevant accounting and operations experience, with a degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance.
  • The ability to be detail oriented, but can visualize the larger impact of a series of transactions.

Product Specialist - Operations

Position Summary

We are looking for a Product Specialist, to support our growing regional Product team here in Cambodia as part of an international team of highly talented and motivated people.

As a Product Specialist, for the platform, you will be an extension of the Berlin central product teams in the APAC region. You will be a leader at the forefront as this role would require strong collaboration across various teams and be the focal point for all stakeholders nearly in all functions. In this role, you will be responsible to bring regional insights to the central product team. In addition, you will help to shape pragmatic solutions that solve local problems but can also benefit the global platform. This entails supporting the central team and other product specialists in understanding and prioritizing regional initiatives on a quarterly basis.

  • Define and communicate product requirements and specifications by thinking creatively and rigorously about how to solve problems that have never been solved before at this scale.

City Manager

Position Summary

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Find the potential location for foodpanda’s new city branch
  • Take ownership of the launch of a new segment
  • To establish, maintain and manage good relationship with the customers, vendors, and prospects and be committed to delivery of the highest level of service
  • Hiring and managing delivery motorbike riders’ fleet
  • Hire, train and develop local team of cashiers, delivery captains, couriers and others
  • Handle onboarding and offboarding of riders and dispatchers
  • Coordination with cross functional departments to ensure full spectrum of smooth launch (marketing, operations, sales and finance)
  • Ensure that service levels are maintained (keep in mind fail rates and delivery times)
  • Measure performance and growth using appropriate system, tools and techniques (SQL)

Position Summary

  • Sign partnership agreements between foodpanda and the best in class restaurants 
  • Understand and meet the needs of our potential partners and immediately build a trustful relationship
  • Have a keen interest in the food and beverage industry with a desire to sign up the best local and international restaurants
  • Be the local market expert: gather restaurant feedback, monitor competitor activity and provide recommendations for improvements to management
  • Ability to create leads, conduct cold calls and walk-ins, schedule in person meetings and sell foodpanda to restaurants in Battambang Province
