Position Summary

Department: Central Office _ MEAL & Professional Development

Reports to: Director of MEAL and Professional Development

Location: Central Office (with travel to school campuses as required)

Position Purpose

This position is based at the Central Office, with regular visits to school campuses as required. The RD & MEAL Officer is responsible for leading and supporting Research and Development (RD) alongside Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, Assessment, and Learning (MEAL) across AYLA-PSIS schools.

The role ensures strong quality control and quality assurance of academic systems, school practices, and continuous improvement processes. A central priority is about Accountability and Assessment, ensuring that all schools consistently implement and align with the AYLA Academic Framework, curriculum standards, and assessment expectations.

The role works closely with Heads of Department and School Principals to ensure that all required AYLA standards are implemented correctly, consistently, and with high quality. It also strengthens data management practices and reporting systems, ensuring that data is accurate and effectively used for decision-making.

In addition, the RD function plays a key role in professional development of teachers and staff, and in supporting the implementation of AYLA strategic direction and movement, ensuring that school practices evolve in alignment with organisational priorities.

Through structured monitoring, research-informed development, and evidence-based reporting, the RD & MEAL Officer contributes directly to the stability, sustainability, and long-term growth of AYLA schools.

Working Conditions

Position Summary

Department: English Program

The IFL Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the English as a Second Language program. This role supports the development and delivery of high-quality IFL instruction by providing leadership, curriculum guidance, and professional support to IFL teachers. The supervisor ensures the program aligns with educational standards and meets the diverse needs of English language learners.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Instructional Leadership
  • Supervise and support IFL teachers in lesson planning, teaching, and student engagement.
  • Monitor instructional quality and ensure teaching strategies are effective and appropriate for English learners.
  • Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Curriculum & Assessment
  • Review and update IFL curriculum to ensure alignment with international standards and school goals.
  • Develop or guide assessment tools to measure language development and proficiency.
  • Ensure proper documentation and tracking of student progress and assessment results.
  • Teacher Development
  • Organize workshops, training sessions, and peer learning activities for IFL teachers.

Expected Profile of Candidates
