Position Summary

Reigate Grammar School Phnom Penh (RGSPP) is seeking an inspirational and experienced Khmer Teacher to deliver high-quality Khmer language and culture education within the school. The role involves shaping the Khmer curriculum, developing engaging lessons, monitoring student progress, and fostering a love of language learning and Cambodian culture among students.

The Khmer Teacher will be responsible for curriculum planning, assessment, student engagement, and co-curricular activities related to Khmer, ensuring that students develop strong language, reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Khmer Curriculum
  • Assist in Develop, implement, and oversee the Khmer curriculum, ensuring alignment with national and international best practices.
  • Deliver engaging, dynamic, and interactive lessons that promote language proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
  • Use creative and culturally enriching teaching strategies to engage students and enhance their understanding of Khmer and Cambodian culture.
  • Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning, providing effective feedback and support to ensure student progress.

Position Summary

The Teaching Assistant (TA) plays a key role in supporting high-quality British education at RGSPP. This role extends beyond classroom supervision and care: the TA actively contributes to student progress, language development, behaviour standards, and the overall learning environment.

The TA works under the direction of the Class Teacher to deliver structured support, targeted interventions, and consistent pastoral care aligned with RGSPP’s academic expectations and safeguarding standards.

Lifeguard

Position Summary

The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety, supervision, and well‑being of all pool users during swimming lessons, activities, and recreational use. The role focuses on accident prevention, emergency response, and maintaining a safe pool environment in accordance with school safeguarding and safety policies.

When the pool schedule allows, the postholder will assist PE lessons with supervision, basic organisation, and safety support, as directed by the PE teacher.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Pool Safety & Supervision
  • Maintain continuous and vigilant supervision of swimmers at all times
  • Enforce pool rules and safety regulations consistently
  • Take immediate action to prevent unsafe behaviour
  • Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, including rescues and first aid
  • Report all incidents, injuries, or concerns according to school procedures
  • Water Quality Monitoring
  • Conduct routine pool water testing using provided test kits (e.g. chlorine, pH) according to the agreed schedule

Position Summary
