Role
To provide visionary leadership and administrative oversight while serving as the primary educator for the kindergarten class. This role ensures the school delivers a high-quality, play- based programme aligned with the Australian Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and complies with all relevant Cambodian MoEYS regulations.
- Academic Leadership & Teaching (Lead Teacher)
- Curriculum Delivery: Design and implement a daily programme that aligns with the Kindergartens curriculum, and reflects the EYLF’s five learning outcomes (Identity, Connection, Wellbeing, Learning, and Communication).
- Play-Based Learning: Create stimulating, inclusive indoor and outdoor environments that encourage agency and intentional teaching.
- Assessment & Documentation: Maintain a continuous cycle of observation, documentation, and evaluation of children’s learning to track developmental milestones.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, hygienic, and organized learning space that meets both Australian and Cambodian safety standards.
- School Administration & Governance (Principal)
- Strategic Planning: Develop and oversee the school's mandatory three-year strategic plan and annual operational improvement plans.
- Regulatory Compliance: Act as the primary liaison with the MoEYS to ensure the facility meets licensing, staffing ratios, and health protocols.
- Staff Oversight: Lead recruitment, conduct performance appraisals, and organize professional development workshops (at least once per term).
- Parent & Community Engagement: Serve as the face of the school, organizing regular parent-teacher meetings and events to build a strong school community.
- Health, Safety & Wellbeing
- Health Supervision: Oversee the school nurse/nursery nurse and ensure the maintenance of student medical records and vaccination logs.
- Child Protection: Serve as the Mandatory Reporter for any child protection concerns, ensuring zero tolerance for misconduct as per school policy.
- Bachelor's Degree in education or early childhood development
- Master's Degree in Educational Leadership preferred for Principal status
- Certification: A pedagogical certificate recognized by Cambodia’s Ministry of Education Youth and Sport and a valid teaching license.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in early childhood settings, with at least 2 years in a leadership/supervisory role.
- Deep understanding\experience of the Australian Early Years Learning Framework
- Current First Aid, CPR, certificate
- Native or near-native English proficiency (IELTS 7.5+ or equivalent).

Early Childhood Teaching Assistant

Role Purpose
To support the Lead Teacher in creating and delivering a high-quality, play-based learning environment. The Teaching Assistant plays a vital role in and ensuring the safety, hygiene, and developmental progress of all students.
- Educational Support
- Intentional Play: Assist in setting up "invitations to play" and learning centres that reflect the curriculum outcomes.
- Small Group Support: Lead small group activities under the guidance of the Lead Teacher to support literacy, numeracy, and social skills.

- First Aid & Emergency: Act as the first responder for all on-site injuries or illnesses; manage the school’s mandatory nursing room and first aid kits.
- Medical Records: Maintain confidential student health files, including vaccination logs and allergy management plans, in coordination with parents.
