Academic Supervisor

Position Summary

Report to: Deputy Director/ Chairman

Working Hours: 7:00AM-5:00PM (Monday –Friday), 8:00AM - 12:00 PM (Saturday)

The Academic Supervisor is the key person who oversees the general operations of the academic department including academic team, head teachers, teachers, teaching assistants and student’s performances. He/she also involves in developing the school curriculum to provide the best of education to students. Here are the main duties of the Academic Supervisor

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop, oversee and implement KWIS’s curriculum and polices that are complied with school’s strategic plan.
  • Develop training program regard to teaching technique and school curriculum
  • Participate in the life of the school, including continuing professional development, performance management, school routines, duties and other whole school activities
  • Develop all necessary teaching policies and guidelines and ensure they are kept up to date, working closely with other teachers, staff and the management
  • Assess of students and provide appropriate feedback to encourage further improvement and progress
  • Provide and promote the care, safety and well-being of the students with due regard for discipline, health and safety
  • Monitor, evaluate and review classroom practice and promote improvement strategies
  • Identify risk factors and report to the management with actionable recommendations
  • Provide appropriate and basic first aid support as required
  • Supervise and develop all teaching staff to achieve their highest professional standards and meet the requirements of learning and development as well as safeguarding and well-being
  • Take lead in planning and manage teacher’s performance changes effectively
  • Review teachers, TAs and other staff academic staff’ job descriptions and performance based on clear roles and responsibilities
  • Oversee and ensure excellent functions of all the school classrooms, library, play areas, bathrooms and grounds
  • Monitor compliance requirements and working to ensure that students receive the best outcomes, service and advice possible. (This is a ‘hands-on’ management position and requires an individual with a real sense of ownership towards the position and the school.)
 
 

Student Affairs

Position Summary

Report to: Academic Manager /Deputy Director

Working Hours: 7:00AM-5:00PM (Monday –Friday), 8:00AM - 12:00 PM (Saturday)

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Gate duties in the morning and afternoon to ensure a smooth operation during pick up and dropped off times.
  • Daily report in the “ Student Affairs Group” regarding to academic tasks which involve with students and parents.
  • Prepare the meeting agenda and minute meeting and update in the “ Student Affairs Group”.
  • Oversees daily operations in the academic department and report to Academic Manager.
  • Add new student in the school channel and update about their daily activities within their first month at school.
  • Add telegram of parent who complaint in the school telegram group and deal with that complaint effectively, then update to the management team.
  • Add telegram of Returned student in the school telegram group and update about their daily activity to parents within their first month.
  • Check on assessment files of English and Chinese to ensure that they are up to date.
  • Check homework and exams which are prepared by teachers to ensure that they are met with KWIS standard.
  • Lead, supervise and manage the head of TAs and TAs to achieve school goals.
  • Assist academic manager to set goal and implement the action plan to achieve higher level of teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Ensure that teachers teach students to meet the school curriculum expectations.
  • Keep record and track student’s progress and find solutions to help improve their performances.
  • Attend and conduct educational training and conferences as needed.
  • Work closely with head of TAs and TAs to improve student’s learning and school program.
  • Provide and promote the care, safety and well-being of the students with due regard for discipline, health and safety.
  • Identify risk factors and propose the solutions to make smooth operations.
  • Attend and support at social events as requested.

HR Supervisor

Position Summary

Report to: Deputy Director/ Director/ Chairman

Working Hours: 7:30AM-5:30PM (Monday –Friday), 8:00AM - 12:00 PM (Saturday)

HR Supervisor will lead the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, orientating staff’s benefits, punishment, leave, and enforcing school policies and implementation. HR Supervisor is under supervision of HR Director or Deputy Director. S/he performs based on the following job description:

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Handle Human Resource Planning, Recruitment, and selection:
  • Prepare and design effective vacancy advertisement.
  • Developing and implementing a plan to meet the requirements from the requested department.
  • Being the recruiter to interview the candidates and record in the job interview form
  • Selecting and hiring human resources to fill specific position as required
  • Maintains human resources records by documenting contract, new employment, staff profiles, transfers, terminations, resignations, change in job classification and compile them confidentially
  • Handle Human Resource Development:
  • Orienting and training employees.
  • Building effective team within the organizational structure.
  • Designing systems for appraising the performance of individual employees.
  • Assisting employees in developing career plans in term of motivation
  • Maintain HR documents safe and confidential
  • Handle Compensation and Benefits:
  • Designing and implementing compensation and benefit system for all employees.
  • Ensuring that compensation and benefits are fair and consistent.
  • Reviewing staff evaluations and alert to related departments for the staff’s probation ending, resigning, promoting, and job vacancy.
  • Develop, amendment and maintain the policies, memos, forms, rules for the school to ensure they are updated
  • Monitor compliance against the policies and procedures and report to the top management
  • Prepare notices, letters, instruction and disseminate to the staff and government agencies
  • Oversee in the school and observe staff performances and attendances as daily
  • Consult with head of departments to discuss disciplines, policy, behavioral problems
  • Prepare and maintain staff attendance, school activity, personnel reports and records for officials and agencies
  • Maintain sound procedures for the security, school routines, supervision and maintenance of the school environment,

Admin Supervisor

Position Summary

Working Hours: 7:30AM-5:30PM (Monday –Friday), 8:00AM - 12:00 PM (Saturday)

The Admin Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily administrative functions of the KWIS. She/he will oversee administrative staff, manage budgets expense, and implement policies and procedures. The Admin Supervisor will ensure that the office is running smoothly, and all administrative tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. Here are the main duties of the Admin Supervisor.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to staff and coordinate personnel or employment issues with the Deputy Directors
  • Maintain and update school records, files, school year calendar, personnel folders, contracts/agreements etc.
  • Manage legality and local authorities
  • Conduct or attend staff meeting, supervise in taking minutes and documented
  • Direct or coordinate activities of staff and external educational activities
  • Create or draft administrative and business letters and provide assistance with translation
  • Take lead or coordinate event planning and management
  • Plan and organize parent meetings, staff training, meetings and Board meetings
  • Monitor and control resources (inventory, stationaries, supplies and other school assets)
  • Enter, maintain and update information in written or electronic forms
  • Prepare and update admin reports
  • Consult with parents and staff to discuss disciplines, policy, behavioral or learning problems
  • Prepare and maintain staff attendance, school activity, personnel reports and records for officials and agencies

  • Manage and supervise extra-curricular such as Khmer, Music, Taekwondo, Swimming teachers and classes to ensure they are all disciplined and followed the lesson plans
  • Manage and supervise all security guards, cooks and cleaners to ensure the school campuses are secure, hygiene and cleaned
  • Be in charge of recruitment, hiring, training and evaluating staff
  • Manage and submit requests for staff, cash advance, supplies, OT compensation etc. to Finance Department
  • Prepare notices, letters, instruction and disseminate to the staff, parents, government agencies
  • Assist in other tasks if required by Deputy Director/Director & Chairman

Working Hours: 7:00AM-5:00PM (Monday –Friday), 7:30AM - 11:30 PM (Saturday)

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Gate duties in the morning and afternoon to ensure a smooth operation during pick up and dropped off time.

  • Assist deputy director or chairman to set goal and implement the action plan to achieve higher level of teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Ensure that teachers teach students to meet the school curriculum expectations.
  • Check homework and learning contents from teachers to make sure they are matched with the curriculum.
  • Keep record and track student’s progress and find solutions to help improve their performances.
  • Attend and conduct educational training and conferences as needed.
  • Work closely with student affairs, head of TAs and TAs to improve student’s learning and school program.
  • Provide and promote the care, safety and well-being of the students with due regard for discipline, health and safety.
  • Substitute Head TA when they are absent.
  • Identify risk factors and propose the solutions to make smooth operations.
  • Attend and support at social events as requested.
  • Help prepare and facilitate the school educational field trip.
  • Promote a friendly-working environment to all staff and maintain the great performance.
  • Involve and plan for the school activities required by the deputy director or chairman.
  • Other tasks assigned by deputy Director or Chairman
