Pour un Sourire d’Enfant (PSE) - For a Child’s Smile is a non-profit organization founded by Christian and Marie-France des Pallières, operating in Cambodia since 1995. Its mission is to help children escape from destitution and lead them to decent, skilled and well-paid jobs.

Recognized by the local authorities, PSE is working in respect of the country with the Cambodians and thus supports sustainable development.

Six main programs – adapted to the needs of the children – have been developed: food, health, protection, education & schooling, vocational training and help for families.

PSE helps 7,000 children and 7,000 graduates from PSE Vocational Training program graduates have already successfully integrated the job market with a real qualified position. PSE employs more than 650 people in Cambodia (Phnom Penh mainly) and 8 staff at the headquarters in France. 500 volunteers in different countries are actively working on making the organization known through fundraising donations and sponsorships.

In 2000, PSE received the French Human Rights Prize from the French Republic.

Psychologist Counselor

Job description :

She / he will be responsible to provide clinical counselling to students who are facing psychological issues and provide trainings on psychological thematic to students and staff members. She / he will work in a multidisciplinary way with other PSE departments.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  •  Helping set up and support the devices of clinical follow-up for students and their family 
  • Ensures consultation and assessment interviews and evaluates indications of support if needed
  • Carries out psychological evaluations and assessments which allow him to assess the need for psychological care 
  • Sets up and animates support groups between students / students and family: artistic and/or cultural mediation, discussion groups 
  • Supports social and educative teams in proposing trainings regarding mental health thematic through games, expression activities and help developing support materials 
  • Activities are defined, implemented and monitored under the authority of the line manager 
  • Respects psychologist intervention ethics 
  • Her / His actions aims at the interests of the students, while respecting their rights and those of their family 
  • To work in relationship with the various internal/external services of PSE (pedagogical, social and other) and to support the work of these teams within the framework of their activity with the students and their families
  • Discusses and analyses the demand from other departments regarding the cases referred to the Psychology service 
  • Participates in reflection regarding the care and multi-disciplinary follow-up of PSE students 
  • Reports chosen elements from his interventions, their scope and the conclusions of the analyses/evaluations/observations on a regular basis, during multi-disciplinary meetings 
  • Shares and supports reflections about the problems faced by the teams concerning their work with some students through her/his technical expertise 
  • Collaborates with any departments/services with managers and/or staff of PSE in order to develop supporting tools and problems solving
  • Collaborates with NGOs, universities, organizations working in the field of psychology, associations in psychology, mental health professionals (foreign or Khmer) and others, to orientate students for evaluations or specific follow up regarding cases if needed
  • Training and supervision
  • Gets actively involved in a supervision process, to reflect on her/his professional practice and for a better understanding of the situations followed-up during counselling sessions 
  • Self-actualization to update of her/his knowledge in psychology in the following fields:
  • Psychopathology of the child and the teenager 
  • Practice of clinical counselling and therapeutic follow up through individual and group activities (art therapy, systemic therapy, psychodrama…) 
  • Practice of clinical evaluation and testing
  • Designs and provides trainings on Psychology thematic and Mental Health Care Awareness to staff and students.

Expected Profile of Candidates
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology
  • Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology, Specialized in Child Development
Work History:
  • Strong experiences in Psychology Field, Drug Prevention and Psychological Counselling for 3 years
Skills & Knowledge:

  • Experience as Child psychologist and at least 3 years of practice in counselling children

Procurement Officer

Job description :

S/he will provide support in the areas of purchasing, stock management, and technical support to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain productivity. S/he will oversee procurement processes, vendor relations, and inventory management to guarantee timely and high-quality support for PSE operations and departments 

Duties & Responsibilities:
  •  Procurement, Contract/Tender, and Vendor Management
  • Execute purchasing activities of online purchases/project and the daily purchase product valued =>$200 (non-contracted)
  • Execute the Tender arrangements (value
  • Execute the contract following the categories assigned 
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services as per organizational needs.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and update purchasing documentation. 
  • Work closely with vendors to ensure timely deliveries and quality assurance (align with Purchasing lead-time).
  • Assist in forecasting supply needs based on past purchasing trends and future requirements.

  • Facilitate product evaluation sessions with staff to confirm that purchased items meet the intended purpose and quality requirements.
  • Market Research 
  • Stay updated on market developments and supplier options to keep PSE well-informed of product availability, pricing, and potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare quarterly pricing reports and supplier performance summaries for review by the Purchasing Manager, advising on sourcing adjustments or new supplier partnerships as needed.

A dentist plays a crucial role in providing accessible oral health services in Dental Care Unit.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Dental Treatment Management Care:
  • Provide daily dental treatment to children, families, and family members supported by PSE in the dental care unit, including:

This position is created to provide the leadership and expertise necessary for the library program management and development. S/he is responsible to plan, organize and direct the operations and staff of the Library; prioritize and schedule major reading/library projects/activities; and develop and manage administrative tasks serve for the Library activities in PSE.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • To manage and oversee all matters relating to the smooth and efficient operation of the school libraries and the librarian team
  • To work with school management teams identifying resources and activities that match to the school curriculum and other educational/learning projects
  • To create and implement ideas and strategies for the development of the school library provision and its services
  • To ensure that staff and students are aware of the services available and to encourage maximum use of the libraries' resources and the potential of the libraries as a center for different learning/reading purposes and class learning activities
  •  To supervise and oversee the reading/learning behaviors, general discipline and induction into the use of the library's facilities managed by the librarians
  •  To assess the reading resource needs that match the students’ level of literacy and areas of their reading interest

Web and Apps Development Trainer

  • The trainer is responsible for the design, implementation, facilitation and administration of training to student
  •  Teaching experience is not needed but candidate has a strong and hands-on experience in web development 
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Scope of job:
  • Context: The School of Business of PSE currently includes 7 trainings taught to more than 300 students every year. The objective is to launch a Software developer / Full stack training in January 2024. It will be a two-year program in web and mobile development with circa 25 students per year. This training will be a project-based learning and will be implemented in collaboration with Simplon, a social enterprise specialized in digital trainings around the world.
  • Team: The team is composed of 4 trainers, 1 academic officer and 1 student affair officer; you will be managed by a program director..
  • Pedagogy: Teach and support a class of students: about 25 students per class during first year and second year. The academic level of the students will be heterogeneous, and the students will be mainly from grade 9, 10 and 11 and a few from grade 12. You will be teaches Simplon’s project-based methodology. Simplon, the state-of-the-art digital trainer partner developed a hands-on methodology, “learning by doing” on real case-studies. So we are seeking individuals who have several years of software development experience and are dedicated to further the career inspirations of others.
  • English speaking class: Training will be held mainly in English: 50% of the courses of year 1 will be in English and 100% of courses of year 2. 
  • Communication: Communicate internally (at school level: school management, project manager, other trainers, academic officer, student affairs officer) and all the relevant departments of PSE (project team, school of languages, soft skills, IT …). Communicate externally SIMPLON trainers, with the developer community and company partners.
  • Main Responsibilities 
  • Lead collective training sessions
  • Monitor and guide the class in its daily activities: learning by doing activities, workshops, conferences, etc.
  • Assess progress of trainees and identify trainees’ individual difficulties and resolve them.
  • Track, measure KPIs (presence rate, grades …), and main progress of the students and on any potential improvements identified.
  • Guide trainees in their approach in order to obtain the desired position.
