Durian Expert/Specialist

Position Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Durian Expert/Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in durian cultivation and a strong understanding of the challenges and needs of durian farmers. This role will primarily involve assisting our customers—who are dealers and distributors of our pesticide products—in effectively reaching out to and supporting durian farmers. The consultant will provide expert advice on durian farming practices and help promote our products as part of sustainable and effective durian cultivation.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Customer Support & Training:
  • Assist customers in identifying and connecting with durian farmers.
  • Provide training and guidance to customers on the specific needs and challenges of durian farming.
  • Offer expert advice on the appropriate use of our pesticides in durian cultivation, ensuring safety and efficacy.
  • Technical Consultation:
  • Advise on best practices in durian farming, including pest and disease management, soil nutrition, and harvesting techniques.
  • Conduct field visits with customers and farmers to diagnose issues and recommend tailored solutions.
  • Develop and deliver training programs, workshops, and seminars for customers and durian farmers on effective durian farming practices.
  • Market Intelligence:
  • Stay updated on the latest trends, challenges, and innovations in durian farming.
  • Provide insights into the durian market, including farmer needs, seasonal challenges, and emerging pests or diseases.
  • Product Promotion:
  • Work with the sales and marketing teams to highlight the benefits of our products for durian farming.
  • Collaborate in the development of promotional materials, technical guides, and case studies that demonstrate the efficacy of our products in durian cultivation.
  • Relationship Building:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with durian farmers, agricultural extension officers, and other key stakeholders in the durian industry.
  • Act as a liaison between our company, customers, and durian farmers to ensure mutual benefits.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Plant Science, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications in a relevant area is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in durian farming, agricultural consultancy, or a related field. In-depth knowledge of durian cultivation practices and challenges is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and advise both customers and farmers.
  • Practical experience in pest management, soil health, and crop nutrition specific to durian.
  • Ability to work independently and travel frequently for on-site consultations.
  • Language: Proficiency in [Local Language] and English.
  • Preferred Attributes:
  • Passion for durian farming and sustainable agricultural practices.
  • Established network within the durian farming community.

Field Promoter / Sales and Technician

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Promote the company’s pesticides products to retailers and end-users
  • Conduct field demonstrations of the pesticide products with end-users on their farms.
  • Disseminate information (technical) of the pesticide products to end-users and retailers.
  • Conduct forums or dialogue sessions with end user groups to promote the company’s pesticide products.
  • Sell pesticide products to retailers and end-users / assist to make an order to retailers/end-users
  • Conduct surveys/collect information of the market, competitions and other matters to assist the company to expand the business.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Bachelor degree of Agriculture, and another related field (possible for the fresh graduated).
  • Recognized qualification in agriculture/horticulture preferred but not essential if candidate has agricultural experiences gained from informal training or employment with agriculture-based companies such as plantations, farms or pesticides distributors.
  • Ability to communicate in English (speaking and writing). Proficiency limited to simple conversation and writing. Candidate will be encouraged and supported to attend English proficiency classes if required and when hired.
  • Knowledge of crops, plant pests and diseases, pesticides essential
  • Have organizational skills such as ability to conduct demonstration of the company’s products to end users and to arrange for and conduct forums/dialogue sessions with end users

Senior Accountant

Position Summary

Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and preparing financial reports. Their role often involves working closely with management to provide insights into financial performance.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, stock control and payroll processing.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare monthly and annually tax declaration.
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making by senior management and follow tax policy.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and adjustments.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and address any findings or recommendations.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices, recommending adjustments as necessary to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Prepare sale contract and fixed assets.
  • Booking report into Quickbook system.

Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role, with a minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and proficiency in accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in tax declaration (Monthly and yearly) and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in audit process and challenging.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the company.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and work independently or as part of a team.

Accounting Assistant

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Enter financial transactions into accounting software accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain and update accounting records and files.
  • Issue, generate and send out invoices to customers.
  • Track payments and follow up on outstanding receivables.
  • Assist with maintaining the general ledger.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and managing correspondence.

Procurement Officer

Position Summary

The Procurement Officer will oversee the purchasing activities for pesticides, fertilizers, and other agricultural products, ensuring cost-effective procurement of high-quality materials. The role requires strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills to secure the best deals and meet the company’s supply chain needs. In addition, the Procurement Officer will accompany the Director on international trips, particularly to China, to attend exhibitions related to pesticides and fertilizers, with the objective of identifying new suppliers and staying updated on industry trends.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Procurement Management:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for pesticides, fertilizers, and other related products.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure high-quality, cost-efficient purchases.
  • Maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and negotiate long-term contracts.
  • Monitor and track purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and resolving any discrepancies or delays.
  • Supplier Evaluation and Contract Negotiation:
  • Conduct supplier evaluations based on product quality, pricing, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and conditions.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Market Research:
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and innovations in the pesticides and fertilizers market.
  • Conduct cost and market analysis to benchmark pricing and ensure competitive procurement.
  • Exhibition Participation:
  • Accompany the Director to China and other international locations to attend pesticides and fertilizer exhibitions.
  • Assist in identifying potential suppliers, new products, and innovative solutions during exhibitions.
  • Build connections with global suppliers and manufacturers to expand the company’s supply network.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations based on findings from exhibitions and supplier meetings.
  • Inventory and Stock Management:
  • Work closely with the warehouse and logistics teams to monitor inventory levels and ensure an uninterrupted supply of critical products.
  • Manage procurement schedules to maintain optimal stock levels without over-purchasing.
  • Budget and Cost Control:
  • Prepare and manage procurement budgets to align with the company’s financial objectives.

  • Working with the purchasing manager to run the purchasing department
  • Performing vendor research and selection to enhance profitability, reducing operating costs and boosting efficiency
  • Maintaining cordial working relationships with vendors and supervising vendor activities
  • Signing and reviewing purchasing agreements with vendors, monitoring their performance and renegotiating contracts
  • Using quarterly and annual data to determine purchasing needs and performing inventory management
  • Managing purchase orders, overseeing shipping schedules and maintaining purchase records
  • Working with warehouse staff to compare deliveries with purchase orders to identify discrepancies

As a senior member of the creative team, you will mentor assistant graphic designers, contribute to concept development, and ensure visual consistency across all brand touchpoints.

  • Lead the design and execution of high-quality visual content across various platforms including web, social media, email, advertising, packaging, and print.
  • Translate strategic direction into powerful and purposeful creative concepts.
  • Collaborate with marketing, procurement and sales team to maintain cohesive branding across all materials.
  • Review and approve designs, artwork, photography, and graphics developed by assistant graphic designers.
