Legal & Compliance Coordinator

Position Summary

Responsible for coordinating and supporting the effective delivery of compliance and regulatory approaches across UP. This includes, but is not limited to, compliance, risk management, incident management and UP business continuity. Typically supporting the development and implementation of compliance and regulatory outcomes to promote best practice and meet specific UP needs, working with the team and with faculties and departments.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Support, coordinate and communicate changes in governmental (Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, CHEA…) and local regulations affecting UP in collaboration with the legal and compliance department
  • Lead the development of a technical solution to record, assess and report risks across all areas of the university
  • Coordinate with the department and other faculties risk and business continuity leads to ensure plans are up to date, relevant and stored securely
  • Maintain proper documentation, business continuity and regulatory documents, focusing on file structure, accessibility and usability
  • Support the approach to compliance and regulatory matters, provide guidance and other compliance requirements
  • Maintain central oversight record to demonstrate compliance with UP and authorities
  • Review risk documentation to identify common operational topics and summarize with good attention to detail
  • Undertake research related to risk, compliance and regulatory matters to ensure that the department is able to provide high quality advice for UP colleagues
  • Monitor reporting cycles and deliverables to ensure they are on schedule, take corrective actions if needed. Develop and maintain up to date records and plans
  • Develop and coordinate a detailed knowledge of current working practices and developments as well as keeping up to date with new approaches and methodologies
  • Perform other related duties and assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Experience:
  • At least 2 years working in a related field (preferred)
  • Experience working with government and educational institutions or a similar combination of qualification and related experience
  • Education:
  • A Bachelor Degree in Law, Business, Education or similar qualification (Master is preferred)
  • Skills/Competencies:
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance principles and practices
  • Knowledge and application of organizational and time management principles
  • Skill in analyzing data and drawing conclusions
  • Ability to network effectively a work collaboratively with other staff within the department and UP-wide
  • Ability to prioritize workload, exercise judgment, and meet set deadlines
  • Outstanding communication skills – including fluent Khmer and English (written and spoken)
 
 

Academic Officer

Position Summary

Position Summary:

The Academic Officer will work closely with the Registrar & Admissions Manager and be responsible for contributing in the operations of the Registrar’s Office and in particular, ensuring its integrity and efficiency. The ideal candidate would be the one who can manage data efficiently; has integrity; who is able to work with different departments, lecturers and government ministries and who is student-centric and has desire to serve students.

  • Prepare student attendance, score list, monitor, and exam announcement, etc.
  • Issue certification letters in Khmer and English such as academic certification, letter of attestation, scholarship certification, etc. for FHS and Non FHS students
  • Provide services for students and lecturers to ensure class run smoothly
  • Manage and enter class schedule, student information, student applications, lecturer CVs into database
  • Compile students’ statistics and their academic results to scholarship providers
  • Prepare student evaluation survey at the end of each semester
  • Learning new things with high responsibility in issuing academic documents
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisor

  • Experience:
  • A minimum of 1 year of data management / admin role

Foundation Year Lecturer

Position Summary

Position Summary

The purpose of the role is to support and maintain excellence in teaching in foundation year.

Contribution in addition to teaching the courses, will include course development and innovation in teaching and overall involvement within department/faculty, where appropriate.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • The overall job description below outlines the main areas of responsibilities of the Employee:
  • Responsible for a minimum 21 hours per week of face-to-face time with Foundation Year students;
  • Ensures that the course outline is followed with regard to programme and course learning outcomes;
  • Establishes clear lines of communication with students and other lecturers;
  • Provides quality teaching within their subject material using a wide variety of teaching methodologies and technologies to better develop and deliver materials both online and in-person;
  • Reports any issues with student engagement or course content promptly to course coordinator,
  • Foundation Year programme coordinator, or the Director as appropriate;
  • Promotes a classroom environment of enquiry and resilience, encouraging students to question, dissent, and develop their own ideas with research and critical thinking;

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject areas, or equivalent experience
  • Subject areas (full-time lecturers teach in 2+ subjects/areas):
  • General sciences: biology, biochemistry, chemistry
  • Health sciences: English medical terminology, anatomy, embryology
  • Mathematics: algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, statistics
  • Research: introduction to research methodology
  • University preparation: computer applications, academic skills development, first aid
  • Experience:
  • Two years of teaching experience
  • Digital education and experience with online learning platforms preferred
  • Research experience and publication desirable, not required
  • Skills/Competencies:
  • Fluent in English and Khmer
  • Competent in computer applications, especially Google Workspace

English Lecturer

Position Summary

Position Summary:

Due to the university’s ongoing expansion, we are seeking to recruit a full-time EnglishLecturer. The position will be offered on either an Undetermined-Duration Contract (UDC)or a Fixed-Duration Contract (FDC), depending on the decision of the Head of Faculty and the final determination of student numbers. For FDC appointment, there is potential for the contract to be extended beyond its initial term.

The role of English Lecturer is responsible for delivering and developing English courses. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Academic English, as well as experience in teaching at a university level.

  • Work 44 hours per week, which includes 21-24 hours of Student Contact Hours (SCH). The specific allocation of SCH for lecturers will be determined through consultation with the Head of the Faculty.
  • Deliver lessons to students across a range of academic levels, years of study and programs.
  • Plan lessons, create teaching materials, design assessments, and/ or involve in course outline development and curriculum refinement.
  • Serve in the university’s committees, boards, and/or other governance bodies, which is flexible according to the Employee’s interests and expertise.

Senior Nursing Lab Lecturer

Position Summary

Position Summary:

  • Lead the UP Nursing Department to be the top School of Nursing in Technical Practice in Cambodia.
  • Work with HON, to plan and coordinate technical practice laboratories, necessary for high quality clinical training of UP nursing students
  • Provide best practice, student-centered, education in accordance with MOH nursing curriculum requirements to ensure that UP nursing students are competent at graduation
Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • The overall job description below outlines the main areas of responsibilities of the Employee:
  • Lead and coordinate the management of Technical Practice across ADN & BSN nursing programs ensuring a high quality of clinical practice for students and the Nursing Department
  • Assist lecturers, in a timely manner, and participate in the implementation of TP as required, to provide students with high quality technical practice skills.
  • Lead and coordinate OSCE training and practice for graduating nurses across programs, according to MOH curriculum guidelines, ensuring UP nursing students are offered optimal opportunities to improve their skill base prior to graduation.
  • Oversee the inventory, restocking and maintenance of all nursing equipment required for clinical training, reporting to appropriate UP personal.
  • Plan and teach assigned courses (theory and practice) and develop course outlines, ensuring they are best practice, continually updated and linked in with other relevant courses
  • Participate in and plan implementation of community practicum for AND & BSN student nurses ensuring evidenced based learning of community health.
  • Actively participate in nursing research activity and undertake professional development appropriate to role.
  • Carry out exam and other academic processes required, liaising with lecturers, Academic Affairs and other UP departments as necessary, ensuring a high standard of communication and reporting to HOD.
  • Perform other functions appropriate to the position as may be directed by the HOD.

  • Experience:
  • Minimum 12 months clinical nursing experience
  • Minimum 12 months clinical teaching experience
  • In-depth knowledge of nursing equipment required for undergraduate training
  • Ability to work with lecturers under pressure
  • Strong organizational and management skills.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
  • Immediate proficiency in English language
  • Ability to train new staff in specialty area of technical practice training successfully.
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning as a member of a strong nursing team.

  • Education:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent.
  • Certificate in Teaching and Learning Course
  • Post graduate study in the health sciences (Preferred)

  • TP scheduling due to limited laboratory resources and all lecturers requiring resources at similar times.
