- Leadership and Management

- Staffing
- Dealing with staff recruitment matters that fall within the remit of the School.
- Membership of the Selection Team for all appointments in the School. (Chairman may replace the Head of School as appropriate.)
- Creating a supportive working environment for all staff in the School and fostering their career development
- Ensuring that staff review and development is completed in a timely manner
- Completing probation reviews with all newly appointed academic staff in line with the School's Academic Probation Guidelines, in consultation with the relevant chairman where appropriate

- Handling grievance procedures for staff except where a grievance is against the Head of School, in which case the Faculty Team is responsible

- Human Resources

- Maintains order in the classroom and provides a safe, secure and healthy educational environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with all legal regulations;
- Informs parents by maintaining records of academic performance, attendance and social acclimation, reporting on all elements of student development at parent-teacher meetings, both regularly scheduled and as needed;
- Complies with set AFIS guidelines and contributes professional feedback at all meetings;
- Maintains strict confidentiality in regard to students and their records;
- Provides student support services by monitoring play areas, restrooms and dining hall facilities, maintaining weekly after-school club(s) and leading students on field trips;
- Attends scheduled staff/committee meetings;
- Contributes professional expertise in the development and writing of collaborative school policies and procedures;
- Provides for the safety of school-bought resources;
- Attends scheduled school open days as set out within the school calendar;
- Represents the school within the broader community with professional conduct that supports the mission of the school;
- Enhances the school’s reputation by accepting requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment.
- Bachelor degree in education or relevant certificate;
- At least two years professional knowledge & experience
- Good problem-solving skill
- Ability to participate in and establish collaborative structures
- Deep understanding of Early Childhood students and their needs
- A proven ability to differentiate instruction and integrate learning
- Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
- Experience in and understanding of IBPYP (preferable)
