Prerequisites

The Admissions Officer must have a knowledge of Kindergarten through Grade 12 education. They should have a good knowledge of the Cambodian National Curriculum as well as International Curriculums. They must have an understanding of the admissions, marketing and recruitment processes and the importance of the role in contributing to the successful recruitment of students through accurate and effective communication.

Relationships

The Admissions Officer works very closely with the Front Desk, Academic, Finance and MarCom departments. The Admissions Officer is the forefront of the school and represents the school when speaking with parents and future students. This role will reflect and control the process of admission and communication through cross departmental strategy in order to both retain existing customers as well as the recruitment of new clients. The key relationship here is with the community both internal and external.

Duties
  • Gathering, entering, maintaining and analysing school data and providing reports
  • Maintaining the prospective parents’ (School Management System) database to keep up to date and accurate information for all stages of the process
  • Handle all incoming enquiries from prospective parents and can confidently manage school visits
  • Tracking, managing and analysing all elements of the admissions process including visits, registrations and follow up calls with prospective parents
  • Processes applications for admission in accordance with approved policies and established internal procedures. (assessing a student’s qualifications, calculating admission averages, validating documents and making admission decisions).
  • Responds to in-person, in writing or phone inquiries about school programs and services, admissions and registration.
  • Assist (participate) in modifying and maintaining information packages/brochures for admissions and registration
  • Coordinates with other staff in order to ensure any necessary follow-up tasks relating to student inquiries are completed.

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION

Prerequisites

  • The Academic Assistant typically has an educational background in Education or any related field and experience in administrative tasks and duties. Native speaker level of English language and very good MS Office / Google Workspace skills are imperative.

Relationships

  • The Academic Assistant acts as the clerical support of the Academic Head only. All tasks taken over by the Assistant need to be approved by the Academic Head. However, the Assistant has to contribute actively to a constructive and collaborative relationship with all academic staff and in particular with the school level coordinators. The Assistant reports directly to the Academic Head and receives support by interns employed in the academic office.

Administration
